Delicious!! My bff and I were in La Jolla for some kayaking and decided to check out Hodads, the place was packed but it was the best thing that could have happened.. We then walked the strip and stumbled across OB Warehouse.. Best decision ever. We shared their carnitas sopes and chopped veggie salad and it was AMAZING!! We then decided to order a full meal, we shared the better than your average burger (I think that was the name) and it was delicious. Our server Michael was amazing and took care of us.. I hands down recommend this to everyone.. Their happy hour is also a great deal.. Thank you, whenever I'm in the area I will return.. ~Carmin LA

This place is huge! Made reservations for Saturday evening and were seated immediately. Great selection of tap beer and cocktails. They serve you Chex mix as an appetizer while you are waiting for your food. The scallops I ordered were excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the dish. My significant other ordered mahi mahi which was also nicely prepared. We were disappointed, however, by the cranberry apple cobbler. It took way too long to get and was over-the-top sweet. We each had a couple of bites and then sent it back. Fortunately, the waiter did not charge us for it. Having heard all the publicity about the restroom, I had to check it out. Honestly, I was kind of disappointed. In my opinion, it was nothing to write home about. However, it was clean and that is really all a girl can ask for.

Very underwhelming. Came here for brunch. Started off by giving us water glasses that had black things floating in them. Ordered food which took way too long to come out. My girlfriend had chilaquiles which were bland. I had the buffalo fried chicken. It was good but it was an extremely small portion for 10.50. If I wanted small portions I would have gone to some French restaurant. Overall, service was slow and bad, food was overpriced and underwhelming. We will not be back.

Monday night dinner service. Not busy at all. The patio consists of about 12 seats and four tables. There is ZERO view. The place is like a Universal Movie Set - that's the best I can describe. It's like every other place opening in the last 5 years in SD. with blackboards, exposed wood and lights and "rugged" but decorated. The music was quite loud and we almost didn't even get a table, but asked if they could turn down the music so that we could hear each other while we chatted on our dinner date. Service was attentive and polite. Chex mix given when you sit down. This I guess is because bread costs more? It's a Corporate COHN - but hopefully the money is still staying local, right? Highlight was what we ordered: Mahi Mahi with cauliflower and the Moroccan rub flat iron with really tasty pearl onions and olive and broccolini. Also served with a huge plate full of NOT smashed potatoes, but what I would call breakfast potatoes. Still once I dug the olives and onions out from between the potatoes it was DELICIOUS flavor with a night hint of heat. Our version of surf and turf turned into GREAT bites. I loved the cauliflower puree from the Mahi Mahi dish with the steak! Would definitely return if in OB for those dishes. Just wouldn't go on a busy Fri or Sat if I wanted to chat with friends. Just like a Corporate COHN restaurant - the dessert menu was completely underwhelming in options. I wish they'd invest in this area!! Drinks - small and pricey in the $10 - $14 range. Iced Coffee $3 Total Bill for two with these entrees, iced coffee, one cocktail - $75.

What a transformation this place has become! I love the concept, the outdoors area and the customer service. Our server Luis was more than pleasant; he was courteous without being in our faces and upsold us on a bottle of mimosa versus just the glass for 2. I wanted to love the food, since the pictures and the reviews just made everything look so delicious. However we were a little disappointed. The local motion came out too greasy and though tasty, I wished they had been more generous with the sauce. I thought it lacking. My husband liked his chicken chilaquiles but it wasn't as warm as he is used to in Mexico. There also wasn't enough sauce in his opinion. For the price, we were hoping for more oomph but it just didn't impress. Too many breakfast places in San Diego to be upset; overall, the decor is tasteful and innovative but the food is something I wish was better!

Really cool restaurant to hang out with a group of friends and/or family for drinks and dinner. Inside the restaurant has this cool, hip atmosphere. I dig the edison light bulbs around the place, and the vintage metal trailer that has windows for you to see inside OB Warehouse's kitchen. My friends and I were there on a weekday around 6pm, and funk/soul James Brown type music was playing which was awesome to bounce to in our seats while we drank and chat. Our server was super friendly, always checking on us on how we are doing on drinks and if we need anything to go with the food we ordered. I must say, I'm in love with their Short Rib Pappardelle dish. The short ribs were tender, juicy and full of flavor. The egg noodles were perfectly cooked and it soaked in the short rib juices nicely along with the sauteed spinach, carrots and onions. I was happy that I couldn't finish my food and took it home for leftovers. The next day, I nuked it in the microwave and the dish still tasted amazing.

I haven't given out a really enthusiastic 5 stars to a restaurant in a while...but OB Warehouse really surprised me in a great way! Terrific service and even better food in a really cool environment and not super expensive. I recently was treated to an early birthday dinner here. From the start, the service was inviting, friendly and attentive. We loved all the details of the well-played out warehouse theme: industrial vintage wall decor, pipe fastener napkin rings, and the light blue woodworking towel placed under the candle. The craft cocktail list was impressive and we got a thorough assessment from our knowledgeable waiter before ordering. We got the "screws, nuts, and bolts" (a clever and frothy whiskey sour) and the "forklift" (kappa pisco, st. germain, orange juice, lychee puree). The drinks were refreshing and well balanced. There were also over 20 beers on tap, including a few on nitro. When we were reviewing the menu, I scanned Yelp to preview photos of the dishes we were eyeballing and wasn't too impressed...and then our actual food arrived and not only did the dishes look SO much better in real life but they were absolutely delicious and with big portions! We ordered the buttermilk fried chicken -- battered "oysters" (the juicy nugget of meat that pops out of the chicken thigh) with a housemade slightly spicy buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing, shishito peppers, and pickled relish with freshly cut corn off the cob. The short rib pappardelle was pretty massive (wine braised short rib, demi glace, hemp infused compound butter, carrots, onions, spinach) and I would definitely recommend it! I enjoyed the deconstructed turkey pot pie which had juicy slices of turkey, seared brussel sprouts, in an "au jus" style gravy that made the whole thing like a warm comforting bowl of stew. I thought that Bo-Beau was the only good member of the Cohn Restaurant Group...but I now can put OB Warehouse at the top of my list! It definitely lives up to the hype.

I always appreciate the Cohn restaurants, I love both Vintana and 333 and I'm glad to see if they've put a nice yet casual restaurant in Ocean Beach. I maybe go to OB twice a year, I tend to spend most of my time in Little Italy and Gaslamp but some friends wanted to go to OB so I suggested the warehouse. I had told a coworker about it a few weeks back who checked it out for me and said it was good so I of course needed to come by myself. It's nice inside, more of a upscale brewery and the food is good, not your typical fried bar food. We arrived a few minutes before happy hour ended so we were pleased to take advantage of $2 off cocktails, beer and food specials. I ordered the wood berry I think it was, a blueberry infused rum cocktail which was tasty and not too sugary and sweet, my friends enjoyed a few different beers. I wasn't that hungry but how could you not stare down the menu in front on you and order something. I loved the shishito peppers, they were great and I got that one hot one in the bunch, they say every 1 in 9 sets your mouth on fire, whew! We also had the trio hummus with pita, all was good except I wasn't a big fan off the olive one as I don't really like olives. We also had the artichoke hearts and my friends shared the pork sopas which they said were fabulous. We had good service, it's a clean environment and it had a decent crowd for a Friday on a Holiday weekend! Not sure if I'll be back as I'm not out that way often but I will be checking out their sister restaurant, draft republic in utc as soon as I can!

I really love this place and want it to do well! Such a great addition to OB. I've been several times, and the last time, the bartender reached out his hand to my boyfriend and I to introduce himself and get our names. Wow! I was impressed. I think his name was Michael? The food- amazing - my favorite is the 3 mini steaks with fries. Great wine list. Love the dim lighting and modern decorations. The music and ambiance is perfect. Never too loud. And it's never too crowded.

Ok came back here again for dinner with my bf and our friend. We all ordered the bleaching beaver peanut butter stout for drinks. I seriously love the flavor. Probably couldn't drink more than one though. I love that they bring a chex mix like item out to snack on while u look at the menu. It nice to have something a little different than the typical bread option that most restaurants give! For dinner I order the short rib papperdelle, which is a short rib pasta dish. The dish had fresh spinach and gently cooked carrot and onions mixed in with the pasta. The short rib pieces that were in the dish were really tender and were nicely complimented by the fresh veggies in the dish. Unfortunately, the pasta was a little more al dente than I preferred. It was almost boarder line under cooked for me. My bf got the filet fritte and that the filets were cooked really nicely and were buttery in texture. The savory mushroom sauce on the steaks was good, slightly salty, but good. Our friend got the fish tacos and he loved them! Downed all the tacos in 5 mins. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. She was very helpful with the menu and was super honest about the items that we had inquired about. I appreciate honesty. For today, I would say over all I would give them 3.5 stars so combined with my previous score of 4 and rounding up to the next number I'll give them a 4 again.

As soon as I heard Ob Warehouse was opened for brunch, well I no doubt made my way to Ocean Beach lickety split. I ordered the Shredded Chicken Chiliquilas topped with fluffy scrambled eggs and an iced cold draft beer. The chiliquilas were great. In fact, I was quite impress with the Mexican flare OB Warehouse's chef put on their menu. The scrambled eggs were very well prepared, fluffy, and lightly seasoned. The tender shredded chicken was on the money with its moistness and I really like the way it soaked up the tomato and chili pepper sauce, which resulted in great flavor. Talk about being impressed, because the most impressive item on the plate was the savory tortilla strips. They not only tasted great, being sauteed in hot tomato chili sauce and well seasoned, but they remained crispy through the plate and duration of the meal. I do not encounter this often, so my hat goes off the chef for such an accomplishment. I ate at the bar, and my female bar keep was great. She was attentive and very friendly. In fact, when I commented that I wish the chiliquilas came with more sliced avocado, the next thing I knew, I had a small plate filled with sliced avocado! Great service...

Is it a dive bar? A sports bar? A family restaurant? An awesome brunch spot? Yes! What can I say? This place was so cool. You walk in and there is comic book paraphernalia. You go upstairs and there is this amazing, wide open dining area and a large, well stocked bar. Very casual chic and hip. There are families and young people and sports fans. The kitchen reminds me of a place back home (San Francisco ), called butter (see photo), so cool! We had ordered most of the happy hour menu (4-6pm), between the eight of us. Our bartender was super friendly and adorable. He took time to get to know what we like and make suggestions for ales and other drinks. We had the poutine (yummy), humus trio (edamame, olive tempanade, and garlic) served with pita. The only one I didn't care for was the olive... No surprise because I don't care for olives . All in all, the service was great and the the appetizers were awesome. I would definitely return.

Came here to celebrate Mother's Day with mom. This place is very cute with live music! Food was good, wasn't really hungry so we had some appetizers - we were definitely there for mimosas! The mimosas were good until I saw the Andre bottle. I mean, at least use Cook's. I know it's more cost effective, and I probably wouldn't have mentioned anything if I didn't see anything. Just maybe hide it better? No one would actively choose Andre if they had a champagne choice. Other than that, this place was very quaint! I'll come back again, but will maybe specify my choice of champagne. Hopefully they have more options. :)

After five visits to OB Warehouse in the last few months, the verdict is in: I love OB Warehouse! I went there just after it opened and tried their special Oktoberfest Sausage board, and it was better than expected! The next time I went was for their grand opening event that was co-sponsored by Pacific San Diego Magazine. That was a fantastic event, and the food was flowing out of their retro camper kitchen. I got to enjoy flatbreads, tasty salads, pork sopas, and much more! What really helped to set it off was my discovery of a Peanut Butter Porter by Karl Strauss. Sadly, it was a very limited edition and that was the only night I got to have it. Good thing I bought nearly a half-dozen throughout the night! My third visit was for a Yelp Elite event, and it was similar to the grand opening event but with fewer people, and it was great that they were all Yelpers. LIke before, plenty of food was available for everyone, and I got to try a few tasty craft cocktails as well. My most recent two visits were a regular dinner with a friend and happy hour with my girlfriend. Both were very enjoyable, with the food, drinks, and service meeting my expectations. I find the happy hour to be a great bargain, and i like how they have a late night happy hour as well. All-in-all, I feel that OB is lucky to have another great Cohn restaurant in our midst, and I look forward to returning soon!

OBSESSED! I love this place. Tuesday date night with some of our friends was sooo awesome. It's such a great deal! Salad 3 apps and a bottle of wine or bucked of beers. Please don't get rid of this! Tonight we are bringing 4 couples with us :D! We also tried Thursday night TV night and it was pretty good. But my favorite dish is the carnitas sopes!! Soooo bomb! Try this place out. The decor inside is beautiful and the music adds excellent vibes. All around great place and addition toOB!

Can't believe it took me so long to get to this place, it's so good! And it has a cool/industrial feel to it. Definitively a place worth checking out if you're in the area and in the mood for some appetizers and fancy drinks. Came here for a dinner with my roommates and that's exactly what we did. Our server informed us that there is a signature drink every month, on that particular day (....eh, month) the signature drink was "the tractor" which, although very strong it was delicious. Along with our drinks we ordered some pork belly flatbread, perfectly seasoned and the portion was very generous, enough to fill one person and perfect size to share with someone. We also ordered some fried calamari.... I've never been a fan of calamari, in my opinion it's always chewy, bland and oily... but not this one! It was so good, perfectly cooked and seasoned. To top of all off the beautiful view of OB takes the whole dinner experience to a higher level.

Pretty cool place in OB to grab some drinks and food. The "Social hour" is reasonable but we came here for the new year special menu. The place has a cool vibe with good music and creative drink names with the decor of rustic warehouse. The artichoke hearts were the best, the gem wedge salad was pretty good and so were the pot stickers. I ordered the Mahi Mahi with cauliflower 2 ways. The plate looked a little bare with the fish in the center with a smidgen of cauliflower puree and a few roasted cloves. you can see for yourself from the pictures. I'm sure they were trying to make the Mahi Mahi the star of the show. The flavor of the fish was a little bland but cooked well and the puree of cauliflower didn't have much flavor, but i ate it because i was hungry. We ended with pumpkin bread pudding with a side of vanilla ice cream, i believe the bread pudding changes (maybe seasonal). This was delicious and perfect to share, but don't expect a large portion. The service was exceptional and our waitress Danika did a great job checking with us frequently. Will definitely be back for social hour but a little pricey for dinner. Unless it's date night and the BF is paying, he he

Love, love, love OB Warehouse! Had the opportunity to check this place out at a recent Yelp event and completely fell in love. Everything about OB Warehouse is great: cute/trendy/funky decor, fun atmosphere, great location in OB, friendly/knowledgable/attentive staff, excellent food, and great drinks. Seriously, what more could you ask for!? For my drink, I ordered their Pallet Jack, which is a bourbon drink...and is preeeeetty great. I was a fan of their hummus trio (seriously, so good) and their mushroom flatbread. Can't wait to go back!

This place is a perfect example of turning a crappy experience into a good one. We called to see how busy they were (6pm on a Saturday night) and they said we could come in at 630 but seating was communal tables. We were up for an interesting new experience, so we hopped in an uber and headed over. We waited about ten minutes prior to being seated. The decor is AWESOME! Cutest restaurant ever. I would describe it, but you should just look at photos. Suffice it to say, warehouse chic is now a thing. Onto the food...we got 2 beers, 2 cocktails, 2 hors d'oeuvres and 4 entrees (double date!) the drinks were good. I got the mason & it was a gingery mule, with a mild floral note. The apps were also fantastic. Chicharrones were fresh & crispy and the artichoke hearts were amazing. I had inquired about why the filet frites were not on the gf menu, and they said they could make them gf by using the other fryer. We got 2 orders of the filet frites, a Mahi Mahi and a burger. The food came out fairly quickly. My fellas Mahi? TINY. Like, honestly, maybe a 2-3oz portion, 3 small cauliflower florets & 2 tiny bok choy leaves. It actually took him 2 bites to finish it. (I attached a photo). The filet frites came with 3 small filets and a large pile of fries. My medium came out medium rare, and my friends medium rare came out raw. Really. RAW. Cold in the inside. Burger was great. Fries were fantastic. The part that made this a great experience was the willingness to rectify a problematic situation. When we expressed to our server that we were displeased, he disappeared for awhile and came back & told us that the 2 meals that were an issue would be comped. It's really nice when a restaurant takes the time to acknowledge a problem & fix it. I will be back!

So glad they finally opened! OB Warehouse is everything you expect from a Cohn restaurant -- good quality food, neat ambiance, and warm hospitality*. They have some decent beers on draft (validated by my beer-loving roommate) and crafty cocktails -- $2-3 off during their social hour(s) from 4-6p daily, and night cap hour 11p-midnight Sunday thru Thursday. Those hours have a few food specials too -- tasty, but small portions. *Except one snooty waitress, but everyone else has been great, especially Dusty!

My boyfriend and I have been here for happy hour twice. Both times we sat at the bar. We've tried the chopped salad, the hummus, crispy artichoke hearts, shishito peppers and sopes, and they were all absolutely delicious. The shishitos especially were a treat. Great beer selection, and even half priced bottles and no corkage for wino weds. Michael was our bartender both times, and his friendly and knowledgeable service was definitely a reason we returned and now one of the reasons we love this place. We will definitely be back, and very soon.

You may be scared of this place from the outside because OB is scary and really gross. BUT once walking up the stairs is it a hip, well decorated place with smart (this is important) and competent servers. Very hipster-esque, marquee light signs, metal sculptures, typewriter decor, vintage mirror collages, etc. There is a pretty good selection of beer and they offer flights. Good selection is not the absolute cheapest but for the environment and quality one can deal with it for sure. Definitely a nice place for a date or a quiet night out with your friends to drink, it is not rowdy or gross.

Love this spot. A little pricey but atmosphere is great. Bartenders are absolutely the sweetest and very informative. Hostesses are very friendly. Not to mention every employee, guys and girls, from cooks back house to front is good looking. Only hire models?? Everyone is very presentable. Very welcoming. Great selection of drinks. Location is perfect, off the end of the main strip. Probably the classiest spot on the strip. Never tried the food, I only go to drink, but it looks good.

I waited on one of their servers, David, earlier this week and he told me about their grand opening (which was tonight) and that I should check it out. I grew up in OB so I was naturally curious as to what this new place had to offer to my little neighborhood. The decor is so cool! The bathroom is a must see! It was covered in floor to ceiling old antique Hand mirrors. The whole place has such an awesome vibe. You just gotta see it for yourself. My friend and I showed up and were told there would be a 30 min wait for a table but we could sit at the bar so we went ahead and found two seats and ordered right away. Our bartender Jade got us started with some waters and a saison for my friend. ( all of the servers and bartenders were very nice and everyone was very on top of it for this being their grand opening. Each food item we ordered came out in five minutes or less.. Very impressive!) They have a huge craft beer and cocktail menu. Definitely a little something for everyone. For an appetizer we got the artichoke hearts. They were lightly battered and came with an amazing lemon aoli. Best sauce ever, for real doe. Next we got the hail to the kale salad. It was light and flavorful. It was super satisfying even though it was obviously a very healthy option. That's an issue I have frequently. I had no issue with this salad. We also got the mushroom flatbread. With three kinda of mushrooms and Parmesan cheese this dish did not disappoint. To finish off we tried the chocolate pie. It was good but soooo rich. I'll definitely be back to this awesome establishment.

Man, oh man... I'm sooo glad I decided to end my day off with this new gem in the heart of OB. I came in not knowing what to expect, only that I knew these guys were going for something original. What i saw and what i tasted was nothing less than genius. For the quality of food and service you experience, just on their opening day, these guys killed it. The ambience, the vibe, the music, and the eclectic combination of delicious flavor in each item I tasted brings a rich cultural experience that San Diego desperately needed. My date and I were welcomed right away by Krista the hostess and were sat in the center of the restaurant. We were served by a very professional Server, David Pinzon, who took extremely good care of us. He was highly knowledgable about every menu and helped us course out our meal accordingly. We had the artichoke hearts to start which, I must say were honestly the best I've ever had. The texture and flavor were at a perfect balance, making each bite one to hold onto. Next we decided to split their heirloom tomato salad which has watercress and delicious burrata cheese garnished with harissa and tossed in a dressing that made each bite extraordinary. Definitely reccomend that one. As for our entree we both enjoyed sharing a flatbread that had three different kinds of mushrooms and was delightful with every bite. Now, what really sealed the deal, besides the great service David kept providing us, was the deliciously sinful whoopie dessert I took the liberty of posting a picture of with my review. I don't think I've had a better dessert anywhere else and can't begin to think how great the other ones are. I highly reccomend enjoying it with gelato on the side, but just alone it was bliss on a plate. I just have to say again, I'm highly stoked this place has opened. It's really about time we started competing with foodie giant San Francisco. We'll definitely give most of their restaurants a run for their money with this place. If you do decide to go, make sure you request David P. He's a stud and will make sure you and your date have the most enjoyable evening. Cheers guys!

It's been my first time here when I came in to meet with my girlfriends. I liked the way the hostess performed her meets-n-greets solo, so I felt easy and relaxed right away. The Bar scene seemed very dynamic and socially oriented. We sat down at one of the row of tables, right across from the bar, so I could see people on left and on the right. I did feel like being in a big gathering of people which I might know, but haven't had a chance to talk to them yet. My post is exactly about Me experiencing warm and friendly feelings toward total strangers, but who were also having a good time sharing food, drinks and conversation with others. Well, we sat there for quite a some time, we did order appetizers and drinks, also polishing with an apple pie desert. I absolutely adore the atmosphere and coming back very soon.

Very nice place to hang on Newport! Decor and vibe and menu offerings are perfect for OB, an area which needs this calibur of restaurant. Happy hour pricing quite good. I enjoyed a Hess Cream Ale for $4.00 and the hoisin potstickers were great, but the crispy artichoke hearts were lacking in crispiness and ginger. No matter, I shall return!

OB warehouse is so fantastic! We didn't realize that the frittata had meat in it but they still made a new one sans meat and an appetizer. Ps it was also delicious. Want them to bring back the live music too. It was awesome.

LOOOOVE the ambiance.. food could use some work though... great beer selection. I have been in OB for a year now, and never new this place existed... perhaps they should work a little more on their marketing if they want to keep up with OB Noodle House down the road ;)

Went for San Diego Restaurant Week and definitely want to come back again. Pros -The food was good, but the proportions of meat to sauce was a little off. --Carnitas sopes were good, but a little try. Definitely needed some kind of salsa. --Short rib pappardelle was really nice. Good flavor and the meat was cooked really well. --Pan roasted chimmichurri chicken had good chicken but again lacked a good sauce. It was however very good in the shrimp sauce. --The desserts were above average, but nothing memorable. -Great service. Our server checked with us several times, was very upbeat, and genuinely seemed to love the place. -Atmosphere and decor were very cool. The Cohn Restaurants always seem to do a good job with their interiors and this might be their best effort yet. Cons -Parking. This is to be expected in OB on a weekend though. -Drinks are expensive but they do have good happy hour options.

I don't typically write reviews but this place deserves it! Tucked away in Ocean Beach, OB Warehouse is a hidden gem! I've been here a handful of times (on Wednesdays) and I've yet to be disappointed. Food is on point, from starters, to salads, to entrees. I've even thrown a flatbread in the mix. Best part about Wednesday is the 1/2 price bottle of wine. I like good wines and this place has a great menu... So paying half the price can help the pocket! Don't scorn OB, rejoice it with this place! Great atmosphere, fun and friendly staff, great wine, beer and cocktail list and food that will make you return.

Can't say enough about the decor. You can tell they spent time and had talent with designing this place. We came in for happy hour (4pm - 6pm, they don't open before 4 pm) Ordered their version of a Moscow Mule. Shared the potstickers and the chipotle chicken flatbread. Flavors were spot on and beautiful presentation. I can't wait to try it out for dinner!

Good food. Good service. Great atmosphere. Dinner is good; brunch is even better. Definitely try the "Italian Toast" (their take on French toast) at brunch or the Short Rib Pappardelle at dinner. Delicious.

WOW!! I was very impressed with OB Warehouse. I went with a party of 20 and the service was excellent. The waitress was right on top of us and the food (and bar drinks) didn't take long to arrive. The decor is very eclectic and just awesome. Something for everyone. I had the scallops and was in heaven. Tried the flat iron steak and although very good, didn't compare to the scallops. The whoopie pie was delicious too. Pretzels and chocolate chips were a perfect compliment to the pie. Will definitely go back and recommend this place to others.

Very eclectic...perfect for OB. Style and décor fit nicely. Service was fab...our server Danica was very attentive, stopping by often, asking us how everything was. She seemed to have a great knowledge of both the food and the wine! Manager (Mike?) stopped by a couple of times. Food was excellent. We shared 2 apps...Chicken Potstickers and Crispy Artichokes. They were yummy. Entrees we enjoyed were Grilled Mahi Mahi, Pan Seared Scallops and Killer Greek Lamb Burger. Everything came hot and tasted delicious. Sadly, we did not stay for dessert but it was offered. There is semi-private outdoor patio room at the back with heaters and a very cool kitchen with "car facade".

Food: 3 stars Service: 3 stars Ambiance: 4 stars I wanted to really really like this new gem, but food and service were very hit and miss for me. I went with a few friends and didn't realize it was restaurant week, but were pleasantly surprised and ordered from that menu. We started with the artichoke hearts and buffalo chicken "oysters". The artichoke hearts were delicious... they laid on a bed of frisee salad and were lightly fried with a grilled lemon and creamy sauce on the side. On the other hand, the buffalo chicken "oysters" were just ok. Essentially, they are boneless chicken wings, but the waiter was emphasizing that the cut of the chicken they used is akin to the filet mignon of beef... The entrée I ordered was the mahi mahi and came with cauliflower two ways-- pureed and roasted. I enjoyed the cauliflower components a lot. The mahi mahi was over cooked. It came with a generous portion, but it was so dry I was scraping my plate for sauce. I also didn't finish the entrée, which says a lot since I was really hungry. But I couldn't eat the fish anymore once I ran out of sauce to make it seem less dry. I did, however, take the leftovers home to use for tacos for lunch the next day. Then, the desserts arrived. The bread pudding sauce was the star of the show, and the chocolate cake was mehhh. The service was great at first but then waned. At first, every time my water was half full, it was filled again. Towards the end of our meal, I couldn't find anyone to refill my glass for at least 10 minutes. The décor is really rustic and fits the OB scene well. Not sure I'll be back anytime soon, but it was an all around ok dining experience. It would be great for a date night since the food is decent and the atmosphere is nice.

New favorite in OB. We eat here once a week. The food is amazing. Eclectic menu with a wide variety of choices. We have never been disappointed. Anything that has the short rib on it is a must try! Ahi tartare and shishito peppers are a couple of my favorite starters. Great place for brunch, $3 mimosas with fresh juice of your choice. The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating. Super fun atmosphere and decor, perfect place to go for celebrating a special occasion or for just a casual date or girls night. If you live in OB or are in the area make sure to try this place!

The food, ambiance and company was amazing. Would definitely recommend the chipotle flatbread, artichoke hearts, shrimp entree and the short rib pappardelle. Dustin Best was an amazing bartender.

Like all the CRG restaurants this one is great! Had brunch there for 7 people on Sunday and had a blast! Great food, awesome drink specials and wonderful waiter. Can't wait to go back! PS, thank you kind sir for not letting me order the cinnamon roll by myself as I would have eaten the whole thing and been sick for days. Sofa King Good!!!

strolled in on a thursday evening for dinner. its amazing to see the transformation of this place from the strangely decorated and desolate portugalia of yesteryears. i will admit the first thing i think of when i see a place like this is: what is it doing in OB? is the gritty charm of beach community finally being washed away with the rise of new and trendy businesses with rustic open floorplans, industrial chic massive fans, and ity bitty breadsticks served with housemade sauces? perhaps. but i hope this trend is more a cohesive blend of long-lasting local beach dives with some smart and always-successful cohn group transformations of former failing establishments. afterall, hippies like a nice meal out sometimes, too! it was mostly empty at the time we walked in, but the hostess asked me for my phone number to be alerted of when my table was ready. **looks around at the 95% open tables*** hmm ok. it reminded me of the scene in Meet the Parents when Ben Stiller is waiting to board his plane and the flight attendant won't let him till his group is called (even though hes the only one there). but thank you for letting me know my table was ready 5 minutes after we were seated :) we enjoyed a light meal of a split greek lamb burger. it was cut in half and plated separately without asking...very nice. i had asked for it medium and it was executed perfectly and o-so-delicious. i highly recommend it. their skinny fries are tasty but i will say the house-made ketchup is kind of odd and too sweet, in my opinion. we got a side of mayo and combined it with the breadstick dipping sauce for a bit of an aouli...which was pretty good! Had the Mother Earth creme ale, which ive been a big fan of and have seen at several local spots around SD. they have a pretty good draft beer selection here. overall, i can see why OB warehouse has become an instant success...its just what Newport Ave has been lacking.

My husband and I really loved this place. We went during happy hour on a Saturday and had a blast sitting at the bar drinking great draught beer and eating some unique appetizers. Love the décor and overall ambiance. Once they got busy the bartenders completely forgot about us, but that's okay. We'll be back for another try...

Alwalys felt welcome here but tonight the lady I was with stumbled up their stairs and after seeing this the young waitress decided she was too drunk to serve. Not the case at all. Not OB at all! Use your surveillance for security and not for making snap judgements. I guess were off to The Joint! Sorry Cohn Fam usually feel the love

Just had brunch at OB Warehouse, it was the first day of their new brunch menu and it was spectacular. We started with the cinnamon roll, the cream cheese frosting was great- not too sweet and there was a hint of citrus. We ordered the chicken chilaquiles, they had great flavor and a mild spice at the end. We also ordered the Benedict, it had short ribs and cheese sauce. We think they should rename it the Benedict adventure because there are so many great flavors. Our server was Ross, he was excellent. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions. We will definitely be back!

A+. Atmosphere and wait staff are fantastic. It's shocking that they have only been open a couple weeks - because everything runs like clockwork: the food comes out really fast. Multiple wait staff will attend to your table. (Even for 2) The design style is fun, casual and eclectic. The food is pure brilliance. I describe this as "international comfort food" - major flavor - VERY inventive - truly fantastic! We have had many dishes...it's hard to choose a fav. The kale salad is epic. Edamame Hummus is beyond. Pot stickers are very flavorful, and crushed artichoke hearts are great. Entrees.... We have loved it all - so pick your fab protein, and go for it. The meats are pretty insane. Desserts are also insane (and huge!) whoopie pie & salted pretzels, rhubarb pie - AMAZING. but huge! So share it. I promise: something for everyone here. Happy happy food that makes you remember why you love to dine out & try new things, but still has that "cooked with love" homestyle hug that makes you smile. (*music styling is perfect, hip, gritty energy, although a bit loud for conversation).

First, you have to walk up the stairs and then they give you a few options on where you can sit- you can either people watch by the window, sit in a booth, community table, or of course the bar. We ended up sitting at a booth. I was expecting this place to be huge, but it was surprisingly intimate and definitely unique for this part of town. The restaurant was not very busy, but seemed to get more crowded after 9ish. We were given complimentary breadsticks that were so thin, tiny, and crunchy! Those came with some kind of marinara dipping sauce....The menu is only a page, so it wasn't too hard to decide on what to get, so we ordered the white sea bass and trio of filet medallions. Both dishes were delicious. I really liked how fresh and tender the seabass was- especially with the accompanying corn grits, sugar snap peas, heirloom rainbow carrots, and yellow tomato coulis!! My friend and I were both celebrating our belated birthdays, so it was a nice surprise when they brought out a molten lava cake with two candles. :)

I have to say WoW.. i dont give out great reviews often but I have to say this place was great food, and service. We went on Wednesday so we could do the farmer's market. They do half of wine bottles and no corkage fee on Wednesday. The server's were checking on us every 15-20 min. filling our water glasses and just chatting with us. We enjoyed very much and I recommend this place. We ordered crackles in a bag and they were light n fluffy not greasy. I got the pear and fig flatbread and my husband got the trio filets. all came hot and cooked to our liking.

The atmosphere is awesome. Tried the recommended Tractor a pumpkin white chocolate martini, it was the best martini I've had. We were there during happy hour and had the Chicken Chipotle flat bread and Pulled Pork sopes these dishes were delicious. I'm picky about sopes since they were a weekly dish in my family but must say they were perfectly cooked with a little softness in the bite.

We loved the food and atmosphere. But it was so loud we couldn't hear each other across the table. Also the bar tender looks great as he mixes drinks like a pro but the margarita didn't taste like a margarita - don't know what it was.

I never thought I could be so disappointed in a Cohen Restaurant! I planned a friend's birthday party here a few weeks ago. She chose the IB Warehouse first and OB Noodle House Second, so I went with her first choice. I called in advance and was told that they don't take reservations (only "call aheads") but it would be slow that night and there shouldn't be any problem seating a party of 12. We soon found out that couldn't be further from the truth! We ended up waiting over 45 min for our table. The staff was very apologetic and brought over complimentary appetizers to the lounge area for us. The appetizers were pretty good. I would like to extend a very special "thank you" to the knuckle heads below that recommended the short rib pappardedlle which had to be one of the most poorly executed dishes I've had in a while. The pasta was super over cooked and it was over dressed in sauce making it a mushy, soggy, bland mess. Unfortunately I was not the only person in our party that didn't like their food; several other people sent theirs back. I wasn't going to send mine back but a server noticed that I didn't like my dish and offered to replace it with something else. When I refused the offer, she took it off of the check. To top it off, all of my friend's blamed me for choosing this terrible spot (even though I was warned not to by one of them) since I was hosting. At least the service was good.

Visited the OB Warehouse last week with a couple friends for a quick bite to ear before heading to the airport. First of all, I love how upon entering you are greeted with wall art of comic book superheroes. (I need to know where they got the classic Superman #1 piece so that I can buy it for my own home!). Greeted at every turn so you know how attentive their staff is. The kitchen looks to be framed from an Airstream, which I though was really cool bc I've always wanted one. We sat outside on their patio in the back which is small but once the sun goes down, they project sports on the huge white wall on the building behind them so that was a huge plus being able to take in a baseball game while eating. I had their classic burger and frites. Superb. Next time I'll go up a notch and get the steak. They also have an assortment of beers but I'm not that learned in the world of IPA's so I just stuck with something that I knew and got a Stella. What I liked the most was how open the restaurant feels and how different every table is. You can sit at a table or on a bench or even lower at what looked like an ottoman? I like the diversity and having the option to always experience something different every time I visit. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because again, it was a brief and short visit. I'm sure after visiting a couple more times I will revisit this review and add 1 more. Cheers!

This has now become one of our favorite restaurants not just because we're local, but our fave anywhere. Especially after attending their 5 course beer dinner. It was off.the.charts! Chef Elias Gonzales really outdid himself on this one. The food was epic....really, every course had depth of flavor and you could hear patrons all around us ooohing and aaahing every bite. From the chicken liver/truffled pate amouse bouche to the amazing blueberry cobbler, it was taste budgasms all over the place! In between those courses was Opah, a light, yet thick and flaky fish served in a bag with fennel and spices....SO flavorful. We then had a bacon wrapped pork tenderloin that melted in your mouth with a potato that was literally.....a revelation! When Chef came out to explain it, it was a Yukon Gold that he had peeled the skin away to make it almost look like a cube of butter...and it tasted like a cube of butter....in the best way possible. My BF and I decided it was the best potato we had ever tasted in our lives, and that's saying a LOT! We then had a piece of Elk in a bean cassoulet that was also very tasty...if a bit dry, as it has almost no fat. Chef explained that is why he made the cassoulet a bit more liquidy, as to overcome a bit of dryness with the Elk. No matter...it was exquisite. Dave from Green Flash Brewery explained all the beer parings and was such a nice and cool guy. Came around to each table to answer questions. Whilst I liked some of the beers, I'm not much of a beer drinker, and some of the IPA's were just too bitter for my taste. The BF loved them all and finished some of mine. The pourings were quite generous. For $65, we were stuffed beyond belief and will be back each month to try Chef's special pairing dinners. Next one is supposed to be Mexican fare. We have also enjoyed their new Sunday Brunch menu. My bf and I try to order two different dishes all the time so we can share and taste more variety. We had the Croque Monsieur which is ham, fontina, gruyere, croissant, hollandaise, fruit garnish, house potatoes and the Linguica Frittata, green onion, harrisa, house potatoes, fruit garnish. All delish. We've also had the Filet medallions in a madeira mushroom sauce and parmesan fries....WOW, one of the best dinners I've had there. He ordered their pan seared, very fresh scallops with honshimeji mushrooms, wilted greens, israeli couscous, ponzu butter. Ummmmm....YEAH!! Just can't seem to go wrong no matter what you order there. And we look forward to checking off EVERYTHING on that menu eventually. 10% discount ANYTIME for OB/92107 locals!

We came here last night with a party of nine, and shared a bunch of appetizers. Every one of them was absolutely stellar! From the flatbreads (Fig, Mushroom, etc.), to the Artichoke Hearts, to the Ahi, to the Cheese, and on and on. I love that they have hard cider on their drink menu. My husband loved the beer selection. Charming atmosphere, great, friendly service, and GREAT food! We'll be back to try almost everything!

The cocktail menu here made me laugh. Where else can I feel a wee bit slutty for having a drink that is called a Carpenter & His Apprentice. Followed it up with some Nuts & Bolts and a Tractor. LOL that being said each of those drinks and the Pallet Jack are tasty drinks. The staff here seems to go above and beyond. When we went there the wait was about 20 minutes, they put us on a wait list. I received a text message acknowledging my wait list status. When our table was ready another text came through. Very neat and better than carrying a pager. The food here is amazing! Another wonderful Cohn restaurant in San Diego and it did not disappoint me. I was able to have the roasted.Artichoke Hearts. Wow! Yummy in flavor. A nice citrus taste and served with a half lemon grilled. The Chicken Chimichurri was also equally flavorful and served with fingerling potatoes. We also had some potstickers that was served in a set of three. Great taste on the little dumplings. Overall a great place to check out. The seating is both at individual tables and semi-shared tables. There are less than 4 TV's in the restaurant. Two of the TV's are in the bar area. I like this concept it makes having conversations without the distraction of a TV more viable. Cant wait to go back again and continue exploring the menu.

The atmosphere is great here. Very open and very well decorated with warehouse relics, vintage lighting and eclectic pieces. We ate at the bar. Beer, wine and cocktail selections are excellent. 24 beers on tap with 2 nitro taps. We started with the tuna tartare. Fantastic! Light and super fresh tuna with tangerine, sesame seeds and avocado slices. I had the lamb burger. Also perfect. Loved the cucumber slices and yogurt sauce. My husband had the Morrocan spiced steak. The rub of 11 Morrocan spices was complex and delicious. We finished our meal with the whoppie cookie dessert. This was the only disappointment of our evening. The cookie was dry and the flavors are all a sort of hodge lodge of sweet and salty items, but nothing outstanding. We will definitely be going back, but not for dessert.

LOVE this place! We went for dinner the other night and to be honest, I was a bit worried- Friday night of Labor Day weekend. But we had a wonderful experience! Thomas was our server and he was awesome. Very attentive, and he gave us great descriptions of the drinks and food. If you go, I'd request Thomas as your server. I had the buttermilk fried chicken and it was delicious. Hubby had the halibut which was fresh and buttery. We shared the hummus trio and then we got the making whoopie pie to go to enjoy at home later. OMG- one of the best desserts I've ever had! Overall, we loved it. The place has a great vibe overall, very OB. A great addition to the neighborhood!

I frequent OB often, so when I saw another new restaurant, I was skeptical. But from the moment I entered the downstairs lobby, I knew it was a different kind of place. The lobby is filled with superhero memorabilia. Upstairs is decorated true to its name: a warehouse. Tool boxes and crates line the walls. My favorite has to be the huge typewriter keyboard on the wall. The food and drinks were great. I had the Greek Burger. It was perfectly juicy with a side of fries. The drinks were moderately priced ($9 for a cocktail) and well mixed. I have to say I will most definitely be stopping by again.

OB continues to step up. What a pleasant surprise. Don't get me wrong, I love dive bars. Pac Shores? All about it. But I also love The Joint, Raglan, Wonderland and can't wait to check out NoCo's Culture in their second location. OB Warehouse was a little classier than I expected, in a good way. Menu was eclectic and more than just a burger and beer joint, which is what I expected from the name. Food was on point. Awesome fish dishes and burgers that were great. If I could do it again, I may go with one of the fish entrees since they seemed awesome, but I was far from bummed on my burger choice. The scallops, panko halibut and mahi all looked awesome. Beer list was diverse and inline with what a craft beer fan would be down to check out. Seemed to have plenty of cocktail options too, but I'm not really a cocktail guy, so don't trust me on that. Seemed to be both kid and adult friendly. Staff was on point and friendly. You could tell everyone was bringing their a-game. Would I do anything differently? Well, we sat in the back patio upstairs, which was nice and airy. In hindsight, since we were there around 5 on a Sunday, sitting up front would have given us a nice bird's eye view of Newport and the people below. Just another reason to come back!

We ate here for the first time this morning on the recommendation of a friend. We went mid-morning on a Sunday and there was no wait for a table. The music was loud but good. Wait staff was attentive and the menu had many interesting options. Both of us selected the Dirty Fries. This is essentially eggs benedict french fries. They were really good but REALLY rich. I don't usually find things too rich to eat and I could barely eat a quarter of my meal. We would have been better off order two different dishes and sharing. The price was amazingly good for two people! Our bill was about $25. You really can't beat it and we will definitely be back.

OK, I was here during OB Street Fest. Wasn't busy in here. Was sitting at the bar with a friend. One bartender noticed us after about 5 minutes, but he was busy making drinks for the servers. After awhile, he noticed we were waiting awhile and informed the other bartender2. Other bartender2 looked at us, then ignored us. Bartender1 told him again we haven't been served. Again, ignore. So we got up and left. Just when we got up bartender2 decided to acknowledge us. After sitting there for 12-15 minutes and not getting served, seriously. We'll never come back. It wasn't busy. It was TERRIBLE service by one specific employee. I wish I knew his name. Darker blonde male bartender around 2PM. Hopefully this helps management figure out who he is. He's terrible. Instead of walking around talking to friends, poor us a F'en drink.

The location (upstairs, w/elevator access) & decor (re-used/re-purposed with flair) were terrific. Loved the partial "Silver Twinkie" as a part of the kitchen. But the food!! Fresh & bountiful! I'm having the other half of my "Deconstructed Turkey Pot Pie" for lunch today (plenty of turkey slices. Very good wait-staff: good suggestions & act like they want you to enjoy the place (but no act!) Can't wait to to return

This place has an ok atmosphere but the food leaves much to be desired. If you're a "Becky" and just love the breadsticks and salad at olive garden then this is the place for you, but if you have any kind of taste or have aspirations of a decent meal don't come here. The food always takes FOREVER to get dropped, the selection is very small. Last time i went there they were promoting a "Tv dinner plate" (which granted was the cheapest thing), my friend got and it was awful. It tasted like a kid cuisine complete with a stale brownie thing. The worst part is the prices, we had a passport card so we got an entree for free and i still think it was overpriced after discount, I got a $16 burger but only paid like $9. There is one thing i like about this place and that's the thursday "you call it" special for $4.

I was recently able to check out OB Warehouse world food + bar this past week with a friend. The restaurant is located upstairs and the metal décor does give off a real "warehouse" vibe. The bar is situated in the middle and is open for seating if you are waiting for a table to open up. They do not take reservations, but if you call in 1-2 hours before you plan on going they will put you on the "call ahead" list and you have priority once you arrive. My friend and I decided to split the buttermilk fried chicken starter - small fried nuggets of white and dark meat chicken coated in a buffalo sauce with fried shishito peppers and a side of their blue cheese dressing. Although I'm not the biggest buffalo sauce fan, the combo of the sauce corn and blue cheese with the crispy chicken was extremely flavorful. All in all a good started and it had a little kick of spice which I love. We also split their roasted pear and fig flatbread, which came, topped with blue cheese and arugula tossed in honey white balsamic. We were both really excited for this flatbread but ended up being very underwhelmed. The flavors were overpoweringly sweet from the fig so I could barely taste the other ingredients. Also, the flatbread itself didn't taste fresh; the crust was probably the most disappointing part, it had the texture of a frozen DiGiorno pizza. Our food came out fast after we ordered ... almost too fast. Made me wonder if my food was made fresh to order especially considering the flatbread wasn't hot by any means. I also feel the menu could expand a little more. Only a few things really sounded appetizing to me and I was looking for a lighter salad but they didn't seem to have one except for the roasted beet salad. Overall, not the best food experience but I enjoyed the ambiance.

**This wonderful happenstance took place on 01/30/2015, Friday*** It's like being a little girl in a modern art museum... you are delighted with your eyes. Then as you go up these stairs you are tempted to ring the service bell... Who would stand the temptation to not ring the bell. Ok OK... I rang the big shiny bell. ! I called ahead to get on the waitlist... which this night I am glad we did... because it was the place to be. The DJ in the background spinning his tune and the staff in their usual buzzing trails of service. I love the vibe here, so modern and industrious. We sat at the first table in the middle almost like a farm table get up with stools. We had a delightful waiter David, and also a second server named Jacob (thanks for all the water refills, that were so kindly appreciated). We started out talking about what to try and what to order. We finally came to a consensus of trying the Buttermilk Fried Chicken "Oysters" and the Crispy "Kung Pow" Calamari. FYI--the fried chicken are not oysters. Excitement filled the air as we were served our first order. There they were the fried chicken oysters and oh how they danced in my mouth. I put three of them on my plate and dazzled them with the blue cheese dressing... like manna from heaven. They are these delicious pieces of chicken lightly breaded and thrown in homemade buffalo sauce and then friended by homemade blue cheese dressing. What a perfect match between the two blue cheeses and buffalo sauce. Absolutely delightful, this dish was a great choice to start with. Our second choice was the calamari, some people frown on calamari. DON'T skip out on it. It is wonderful to taste new things. If not here, then when. This is what I tell my mom, when she is skittish about new foods. The calamari was wonderful and I am glad we ordered it. I did enjoy the cashews and all the little bits that complimented it so. It was light and refreshing and it was an excellent choice to usher into the next dish our Entrées. My friend ordered the Roasted Baby Beet Salad and Hubbs/I ordered the Short Rib Pappardelle. For the Roasted Baby Beet Sala, I can vouch that my friend had that cat after a bird smile. Satisfactory bliss displayed on her face. Light and fresh, and on to dessert for her. Meanwhile, I just savored and indulged in the Short Rib Pappardelle... it was so freaken bad ass. It was beautiful on my plate and it carried a sweet aroma. The noodles were cooked perfect. The meat was like velvet. Rich buttery velvet, are you listening yelpers... rich buttery velvet. Last but not least, DESSERT!!!! If you come to OB Ware house and you are stumped or maybe hungry for one thing... WHOOPIE PIE!!!! It is incredible. First of all, it is sooooo moist, and it's as big as my outstretched hand. That fluffy filling, the pretzels, the caramel, the ice cream accompanied with mint, I don' think we need to say any more. I did get in a few bites of this little creation of love the Pumpkin Spicwe Bread Pudding. This is a seasonal item and I believe it will be leaving the menu quite soon. If you can try, please order it quick. What a sweet treat.Whip cream on the top followed below by a moat of nuts and caramel. Tips from this reaview: Call ahead to be put on waitlist, live a little --- order some appitizers and leave room for dessert.

Another fine establishment to bear the Cohn Restaurant Group distinction. The first time I was here the ambiance was the bomb and this time around it was still the bomb. It has a friendly atmosphere and everybody was smiling and very attentive to our needs and I am sure if I come here enough everybody will know my name. I am not a drinker and I wasn't too hungry so I opted for a salad. I needed my greens and what a better way to fill that void by ordering "Hail to the Kale". I am not a big fan of kale but the miso ceasar dressing did it for me. I love Vietnamese food so I was had at Bahn mi flatbread. OB Warehouse did not disappoint. Why not 5 stars? I need to come back some more to try something different to really gauge the food. Until next time...

Really great atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything tastes great. Shishitos were tasty. Nothing like fresh chicharones with lime, Taquin and salt...still cracklin in the bag. The sausage fest my son had was delicious. My mahi mahi was a bit salty but good. We will be back for more! Great addition to Ocean Beach.

I am so in love with this place. I'm going to be back in Hawaii for the next elite event, but I wanted to try this restaurant so bad! So I went myself. I mean, that's what these events are for, right? To get the word out about this place? Parking was easy peasy. Granted it was a Wednesday night, but I found a spot on the same straight as the warehouse. I first walked into the brewery next door before I realized I wasn't in the right place. As you go up the stairs, the hostess greets you asking for a phone number to put down your place in line. I'm guessing this is for metric gathering, but since the restaurant was empty, she sat me right away. Everyone was really helpful in explaining the menu and events and going over their favorite dishes. As they were describing them, I started to schedule in my head how many times I would have to return to try them all. Whatever that tomato sauce they serve with the breadsticks is, it's delicious, and I want a jar of it at home. I ordered the chipotle chicken flatbread as recommended on yelp, and it did not disappoint. Believe me this is a shared dish. I struggled to eat even half. The flatbread was crispy but full of toppings, mostly sweet with a little bite of onion. I can't wait to try their artichokes next time!!!

We went on day#2 that the restaurant was serving brunch. We came too late for the cinnamon rolls (limited quantity)! Local residents receive 10% off on Sundays!! In our party of five, we had french toast, frittata, short rib benedict, lamb burger, and croque monsieur with croissant. We enjoyed our food with french toast as a favorite of my husband's. A guy was playing the piano in the main room (but we sat outside on patio). The restaurant has an "industrial" look--metal carts with wheels as tables for example. The restaurant is located upstairs so if you can't climb stairs (i.e, elderly or with baby stroller), you must use the "lift" which is slow and limited in weight, but kind of cute! We will have to come back for dinner.

I don't often give 5 stars for a restaurant but our whole experience was so wonderful. The food was good, creative, fresh. Not mind blowing, but very, very good. We went for brunch. The service was perfect. Our server, Luis, was friendly, accommodating and just had a great attitude. The music was wonderful and the ambiance was just right. Not too crowded or loud but the upbeat and universally appealing music really added to our experience The cinnamon roll made my day. The fresh fruit was very fresh and had a great selection. The burger was perfect, and the short rib benny was something I will do again, although it's too rich to finish in one sitting. Best part was the bacon! They have good bacon. :)

Fantastic. Try the short ribs and the apple crisp. Flavors were a perfect blend. Guest also had the Mahi Mahi and loved it We shared the Farro Salad and I think it was close to one of the best I have had. Waite staff was friendly, responsive and had great suggestions. Restaurant is on the loud side with music playing. We sat in the back enclosed deck section. Music was fine as we could talk at normal levels. Come and enjoy.

Amazing environment. Totally reminds me of Herringbone in La Jolla. Totally hip and modern with an edgy warehouse vibe. I would bring parents, dates, groups, old friends, anyone here!! I would also come in and have a drink at the bar by myself if I was feeling bold and confident. It can get a little noisy but nothing out of control. The food is rich and delicious and the staff is amazing. This really is an excellent addition to the neighborhood!!

This is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. I first went there for a girls' night with a friend. We enjoyed two glasses of wine and split a hummus plate, which comes with three different types of hummus and pita bread. My husband and I have since been for dinner and Sunday brunch. At brunch, we sat at the bar. I loved the fact that there was no wait to be seated (a lot of restaurants in San Diego get really crowded during brunch) but was surprised that there weren't more people there. They have several mimosa flavors; I ordered the blueberry mimosa, which I highly recommend. At the time, I wasn't crazy hungry so I just ordered a simple breakfast: scrambled egg whites with a side of bacon. The chef himself brought our plates out to us and explained the elements of my husband's meal, the "Chicken Chilequiles". My bacon was phenomenal and let me tell you, as weird as it sounds, those egg whites were the BEST I have ever had. They were perfectly seasoned and tasted like they had been sautéed in olive oil. My husband loved his breakfast, but he likes things a little saltier than most people so he tried to add salt to it but it wouldn't come out of the shaker. After a few minutes of him vigorously shaking the stubborn shaker, the chef emerged from the kitchen. "I saw you struggling," he said, with a smile, and handed us a small plate with large sea salt crystals. What service! We'll definitely be back.

Way to start the new year! Came to OB warehouse for the first time on New years day with my boyfriend and may i say my experience here was GREAT! Staff were friendly and very professional, the venue was like no other place I have eaten before, The decorations of the whole restuarant was just fun and unique, which definietly kept my eyes entertain while I ate because I was definietly fascinated. The kitchen was transform into a silver bullet trailer which made it look like the chefs were cooking a trailer. The restrooms espcially the ladies room was very unique they had displayed the entire bathroom wall with vintage mirrors. The service that we received from our server was excellent (unfortunately I forgot her name, but she was awesome) Our server was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the drink and food menu which is an A+ in my book. She recommended a couple drinks for my boyfriend and I to try. The drink that I got was The Tractor which kinda reminded me of a hot totty but I think it taste way better, it had grey goose, chai tea and something else which i totally forgot. All i can say its a MUST try especially if you like hot totties. As for food we started off with an appetiezer, we got the calamari and I all could say is yum yum yum. So the calamari was flavorful and crispy and went well with this salad that reminded me of a coleslaw, which had peanuts and some type of sweet dressing. As for entrees I got the pan seared scallops. OMG! it was so delicious, scallops were cooked perfectly and I love how it was combined with the cous cous. My boyfriend got the filet frites that was cooked medium rare paired with parmesan herb fries, he said he loved it. Overall, this place was amazing! This is a great place for couples or a big group of friends to go to, to enjoy great food and drinks. This is a place I will definietly go back to again.

what a cool spot to check out in OB!! totally last minute trip after we had finished watching the packers obliterate the eagles @ tiny's tavern. figured mineaswell, since we were in the area... We lucked out when we got to OB warehouse, it was happy hour!!! here is the deal with happy hour: HAPPY HOUR: 4pm-6pm Daily Sun-Thurs 10pm-12am Fri & Sat 11pm-1am the place decor is awesome... cool giant fan, a lounge area for groups, the back patio has a projector for movies and documentaries... will def. have to check this out next time. here is what we had: -slow braised carnitas sopes $6 [ pretty juicy!!] -chipotle chicken flatbread $9 [ standard flatbread... can probably feed 4-5 people] the rest of the happy hour menu can be found: cohnrestaurants.com/obwa… drinks: ordered the Mason $11... practially a moscow mule... always a must!! they have their beer tabs labeled with numbers... if you look to the wall you 'll see which beer corresponds to what number. lastly the kitchen mobile trailer decor is such a cool piece of art!!! great job cohn restaurant group!!

This is an awesome spot for food, drinks or both. The service was really great and our bartender Chris was very friendly as well as knowledgeable when it came to cocktails and beer. We just came for drinks but can't wait to come back and try the food =)

Came here for the first time on Friday night and was pleasantly surprised! My husband stuck to beer but I worked my way through the cocktail menu, starting with The Tractor which was fresh, crisp and delicious, made with locally sourced ingredients from the OB farmer's market. We shared the crispy artichokes, the buttermilk fried chicken and the mussels in beer broth which was the nightly special. Everything lived up to the hype! The artichokes were a definite standout, I've never had anything quite like them, they were tart and delightful. The chicken and mussels were pretty standard fair but super fresh and delicious flavoring, you could tell they were well thought out dishes. Menu pricing was pretty typical but I thought the cocktails were a little overpriced for how tiny they were. We're excited to head back to try some of the entrees and their brunch which looks delicious!

This place is awesome. The food was exceptionally good, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Their was some confusion initially with the Passport Dining deal card, but as soon as it was brought to management's attention, David (the manager) could not have handled the situation better. His professional manner was excellent and he ended up honoring the deal for us. Our waitress Adriana was very sweet and helpful with recommending items off the menu. Not to mention the food was delish!! I would highly recommend The OB Warehouse to my friends and family. FYI they have an amazing deal for couples on Tues nights. You can get a split salad, three entree items and a bucket of 4 beers all for $39. What a steal!!

I need to stay away from Cohen restaurants! OB Warehouse how my hopes were so high for you...where to start where to start... Came once for happy hour and once for dinner. The only great thing I consumed was the chicharrones. They. Are. Delicious! Everything else was meh. The potsticker filling was a solid ball of dog food, artichoke hearts were oddly sweet, beet salad was mostly arugula, flatbread was ridiculously bad, burgers were just ok for the price, whooping pie dessert was dry, overly sweet, and just not good. All the food and drinks are extremely overpriced (gotta make up for all that fancy decor somehow I guess...) Let me address a big issue I find with Cohen restaurants. They use shortcuts and cheap ingredients, yet present them so well that people will pay top dollar- sneaky! Tip: If you have 4 flatbreads on the menu all over $12, don't you think the actual bread should be homemade? Ya well they use the frozen restaurant depot ones here... The atmosphere is pretty cool and service is always friendly (though not very knowledgeable). 1* for that and another * for the chicharrones.

Received a phone call with an explanation for the staffs actions. My sober friends and I shouldn't have had to feel uncomfortable the whole time wondering if we're going to be kicked out or feeling profiled. I understand protocol however this instance it was unsatisfactory at best. A quick voice of concern or a staff member telling someone at the end of our experience why they were watching us (gathering together and pointing at us) would have deteriorated that terrible feeling that I personally left with. I got an apology from them. (Thank you) Based on the information about their protocols for groups and the negligence for truly ensuring everyone can have a decent time at their establishments, I will no longer be returning to many of their restaurants.

I have a new OB favorite! I definitely think this spot is pretty unique for OB - they have the modern eclectic rustic vibe going for them which I adore, and have a ton of space up there to handle groups, families, etc. The beer list looked good, though we weren't drinking this weekend, everybody who works there was happy & friendly, and the menu is stellar! They bring you their house party mix, which is insanely and oddly amazing. I'm not one to fein for party mixes, but the spice mix they use on theirs was so addictive. My boyfriend ordered the burger and I got the mahi. He loved his burger - it came with bacon and a house jam they make which he really liked. I snacked on some of his fries which were perfectly cooked & seasoned. As for my mahi - it was just nuts good. The red pepper coulis set everything together perfectly, and the cauliflower 2 ways blended perfectly with the citrus flavor the mahi was cooked in. They served 2 good chunks of mahi stacked - I was in heaven and pretty much licked my plate clean. Our servers name is escaping me right now, but she was stellar and we had a nice chat with her. She was incredibly accommodating of everybody there this past Sunday. The guy who was hosting was also super friendly and easy to talk to as he showed us to our table. The only thing I'm marking it as a 4 instead of a 5 for is that this was our only experience there so far and there was a mix-up with our order. My boyfriend's burger first came out without the bacon or jam (which they fixed quickly), then my mahi came out completely separate from his burger. I made him eat his instead of wait because we were starving after hiking all day and I didn't want him to eat it cold, but he was completely done by the time mine came out. THAT SAID - our server completely owned it, spoke with the Manager who also came by and apologized, and they made it correct for us. For that, I cannot be angry. Admitting the issue & doing something about it tells me that the place has integrity, cares about their customers, and that this isn't normal (otherwise they'd go out of business making it right for everybody). Thank you OB Warehouse for making it a positive experience, cooking us a heavenly meal, and to the team for staying so friendly & positive.

Went here in March on a Sunday for happy hour. I love the open space upstairs. I was surprised the food was actually good. We got the artichokes, fried chicken "oysters", and the duck poutine fries. I'm usually not into artichokes but I must admit they were crispy and delicious. Don't confuse yourself that you're ordering 'oysters' because it's fried chicken like chicken tenders. The poutine fries were my favorite and not many places serve that dish. I'm disappointed to see that it's no longer on the happy hour menu. I am not a beer person let alone craft beer and glad that they offer beer flights. My fiancé ordered a flight and I was able to take a sip of each. The first was a light beer and tasted like watered down beer, thinking this is not bad then I get to the second and it reaffirms why I don't like beer in the first place...lol. So I ordered myself cider. All in all, great atmosphere for food/drinks and gathering.

Food is pretty good, definitely an interesting menu. The cocktails need work. Tried the Sledgehammer which is a mix of IPA, reposado, and laphroig but is a total mess - I couldn't even drink it. Went to the Hard Hat, which is a Manhattan derivative, but was served with the classic mistake of too much vermouth. The service was great but the worst, nail-in-the-coffin aspect was the music, which can probably be best described as "terrible wedding DJ." I'll give them another try because the decor is great and the menu is interesting, but if that playlist is on I'm walking out.

We tried the OB Warehouse for dinner last night, and we're not disappointed at all. The restaurant is upstairs, decorated rustic industrial, they had the baseball game projected onto the building next to it. The vibe was awesome, everyone was having a good time. The service was also impeccable and very friendly with a spot of good humor. The food was very good and plated wonderfully. The only slightly negative thing I could say is that the menu is a bit limited, I couldn't find anything I was in the mood for or that sounded good at that moment, which is unlike me. I'll definitely be returning with friends for drinks and appetizers!

Just came here for drinks. Sat at the bar and the bartender Michael was amazing. He was very personable and attentive. He pays attention to detail and remembers the little things that matter! The ambiance is nice, with some good music, but still able to talk to the people around you. Good spot!!

Ever had good food ruined by abysmal service? My wife and I have been meaning to get in here for months, and finally got a chance to visit tonight for the first time since Portugalia (a vastly superior prior incarnation of this space) closed. Two blonde hostesses were chatting with one another when we showed up at the busy, but by no means full restaurant. After about two minutes at the hostess stand, one of them walked off and the other turned to greet us. We were told that, even though there were plenty of open tables (mostly 4-tops and 6-tops), there'd be a 20 minute or so wait for two, unless we wanted to eat at the bar (which was entirely full, as the hostess probably could have observed during the time she spent with her back turned to us while we waited). Okay, I can understand not wanting to seat a couple at a group table during peak Friday night dinner hours, so we took some open seats at a ledge overlooking Newport. Another five minutes or so passed until we got menus, five minutes and ten seconds later we were asked for drink orders. I made a quick scan of the (fairly comprehensive) beer list and noted the restaurant generally offers two pours - a two-ounce taster and a 14-ounce glass. Prices were on par with, or slightly higher than one would expect to pay for a proper pint elsewhere, though I selected an even-shorter-than-the-already-standard short pour of 330 ml (11 ounces). My drink came out in a 12 ounce tulip glass, with about 1 1/2" of foam and another 1 1/2" of entirely empty glass. Now, I can appreciate serving a beer with some head intact, and thus advertising an 11 ounce pour in a 12 ounce glass, but there's no way this premium-priced beer contained a drop more than 8 liquid ounces. When a bartender over-pours it's stealing from the owner, so when an under-pour is this blatant could it be considered stealing from the customer? Food service for appetizers and mains was efficient, and timed appropriately for a casual dinner. But the only problem was that my woefully insufficient drink was gone a full five minutes before the main plates arrived. I'd tried to mention to the food runner I'd like another glass, but he'd already disappeared. Five minutes later my wife's beverage was also empty, we still hadn't been able to flag down a server, and I'd been unable to touch my dish, heavily laden with fresh jalapenos (which in itself is more of a good thing than bad) without a drink. We finally got our server's attention, and about twelve minutes after our plates hit the table my wife received a refill. Mine showed up after about fifteen, and the water glasses we'd had to request three times (I get it, we're in a drought and they don't come automatically, which is fine by me) came out after nearly twenty. The food is the one saving grace boosting this review to a two-star - it ranged from good to excellent, though a hair on the pricey side for what it was. Carnitas sopes were rich and gave an excellent depth of flavor in the cornmeal base and meat, nicely contrasted by the pickled onions. My wife's deconstructed turkey pot pie was a tasty and well-executed take on a simple dish. I enjoyed my banh mi pork belly flatbread (including the liberal dose of jalapeno), but probably would've been much happier if it wasn't stone-cold after sitting by an open window for an extended period before I took my first bite. All in all, this installation in the Cohn empire serves up some good food, and it's a bit overpriced for what it is - a semi-upscale mock "dive bar" atmosphere. Across the Cohn board from the low-end Corvette (I still miss the real one) to the high-end Blue Point (we've visited many of them), this is pretty much standard. The price would be passable if it weren't for the fact our night was ruined by abysmal service - all of the employees we contacted were certainly friendly and professional in demeanor, but the floor was either woefully understaffed or (more likely) the staff was preoccupied with their own entertainment rather than guest service. It seems most other folks have had a considerably better experience, so I can only hope if you decide to visit that my visit was an anomaly, but based on this one test-run we won't be back - a shame, since we live just a few blocks south...

I've been there 3 times now and every visit was wonderful. They obviously put a lot of effort into each aspect of their food, decor, and service from the front to the back. Tuesday is date night and they have a great deal for two. $39 for a bottle of wine, 3 small appetizers, and a salad. It's easy to judge service when everything goes well, but how a company deals with mistakes is the true test. Tom waited on us last night and one of our 3 dishes was incorrect. The manager and two separate servers apologized, took responsibility, and got us the correct dish in maybe 2-3 minutes. Tom and his support staff were responsive and proactive. I will definitely be going back soon. PS Please bring back the awesome salmon soon!

What an improvement over Portugalia! I guess that wasn't hard to accomplish in the first place, but I am digging the new look. Updated, clean and spacious -- everything Portugalia failed to be and more! I've only had the luxury of sitting at the bar a few times, but I look forward to checking out the food!

Stopped in during its first week open - wow! Very cool space. Fun, funky, big open bar; eclectic decor, hip OB-divey patio out back. And really like the interesting "global" menu - Asian, Moroccan, Middle Eastern. We tried the pot stickers and fried chicken "oysters," and both were really flavorful and delicious. And the beet goat cheese salad was one of the best I've ever had - tender slightly peppery arugula, thin slices of perfectly roasted red and golden beats, bits of creamy goat cheese, and a wonderfully light (not over-powering) lemon preserve vinaigrette. Service was fantastic; very friendly, especially our bartender, Dan. He mixed up some tasty cocktails, including an off-the-menu "Brambles" - w/ a high-end blackberry liqueur, gin, mint and lots of crushed ice. Happy hour daily 4-6 (food and drink specials). We will definitely be back. Nice job!

This was my first visit to the Warehouse and if you start to follow me you will notice I get Beet and Arugula salads everywhere I go. This being said, I'm an expert at Beet and Arugula salads. The Warehouse has the best one in SD hands down!! Fresh produce and the lemon was a great touch I haven't seen done in this way. Jade, the bartender, and Adrianna, a server, both recommended The Carpenter & his Apprentice cocktail. It was the first one listed on the menu and a great price at just $10. It was a perfect balance of spirit. The decor was so cool. I will definitely be back and share with guests. Cohn, you've done it again. Cheers.

My friends got married yesterday and chose to eat here last night and invited me to come along. I ordered the TV Tray Chef's Special not knowing that the turkey pot pie and mashed potatoes were going to be covered in a beef gravy. I was picking around it, not wanting to send it back and the manager wouldn't have it. She had the chef prepare me a side of potatoes and turkey without gravy on it. The manager also brought out a fabulous dessert for the married couple and wrote Bride & Groom in chocolate around the plate. They were so attentive and super nice. I give this place 2 thumbs up!

Unsure of what the Saturday night crowd was going to look like, I called from the beach that afternoon and was able to make a reservation for 4 at 7 pm. Great atmosphere, sat at a table overlooking Newport in Ocean Beach. Food was good and service was strong. We'd go back!

I keep forgetting about OB Warehouse - maybe it's because it's upstairs - but after a couple nights of grabbing a happy hour drink here and there, it's definitely solidified itself as a good option for cocktails. Overall the vibe is good and the bartending staff is pleasant and accomodating - We rolled in at 2 minutes of 6 once and the bartender was kind enough to give us happy hour pricing despite it taking a while before we got to order. The beer selection is pretty good, and the happy hour pricing is solid - afterward things start to get a little pricy. The food I've had isn't particularly memorable, unfortunately, but not so much that I won't have a nibble here and there. I like this place, but I feel like there's potential they aren't quite realizing.

Went to OB Warehouse for brunch on Saturday Feb 28th. Apparently they just started serving brunch a couple weeks ago. Started off brunch with a Bloody Mary which was a steal at $5. The house pickled green beans and shishito peppers were a good addition to the house bloody. My wife and friends had Mimosa's with mango puree which they thought were really good. Can't beat $2 mimosa's. As I was looking over the menu, I found it difficult to decide on a plate due to me wanting to try multiple items on the menu. Our table decided to share plates (which is my favorite, so I can try everything) and share we did..... First we tried the "Dirty Fries" Let me tell you... those fries are so damn good! crunchy fries with bacon, green onion, and hollandaise, topped with two perfectly cooked over easy eggs. I've eaten a lot of different hollandaise sauces in my time, and this was up there with the best I've ever had. Next time, I might even order them with Linguica sausage. Can't go wrong with DIRTY FRIES Then we tried the Egg White Omelet with soyrizo. If I go out to breakfast (especially brunch) I am not the person to order egg whites let alone soy, and was actually embarrassed in the fact that an egg white soyrizo omelet was coming to our table. But to my surprise, this omelet was utterly delicious. Stuffed with spinach cheese and the perfect amount of soyrizo, this omelet gave me a whole new outlook on meat substitution. I would actually go back to OB Warehouse just for this omelet alone. We also had the chance to try the Italian French Toast...... it was extremely good. The french toast is made from rustic italian bread so the texture was nice and "toasty" opposed to most french toast which are spongy. It was accompanied with an orange mascarpone cream that added the perfect sweetness making this a very well balanced dish. Last I have to review is the "SOfa-king Delicious Cinnamon roll" Friends of mine at our table thought that it wasn't sweet enough, but I thought it was perfect. The outside of the cinnamon roll was slightly crunchy, and the inside was buttery and gooey, just like a cinnamon roll of my liking should be. Needless to say, I ate more than my fair share of it. I have to say, this was one of the best brunches I've been to in a long time.

Great atmosphere- very different from the rest of OB, except the new Noodle House, which may be a good compression in terms of atmosphere. Good food, we shared the farro salad and a flatbread. Flatbread (one with oyster) was good, but pricey- didn't seem worth almost $16 for bread and cheese. Great service, friendly patrons. Entrees are a little pricey, would probably stick with the smaller bites. Overall, I'd say give it a try.

This place is awesome! We sat all the way in the back in the open-air patio room. Our server introduced himself and asked for each of our names and then used our names throughout our meal when he spoke with us which was really cool and personal. The food was great! The Sopes were our favorite....never tried them before, but they were incredible!! We also really liked the crispy artichoke hearts and the flatbreads.

Truly enjoyed my evening at the OBW, celebrating a pal's bday, another pal's recent move back to SD, yet another couple of pals buying a house and my own pregnancy. We had a table for 5 on the patio on a recent Sunday, early evening. We ordered chicharrones, artichokes and poutine to start. All very tasty. In particular, the fried artichokes were delicious: crispy, nom-worthy and served with a piquant little sauce. Loved being there for happy hour and so the drinks were flowing: we ordered lots of beers and enjoyed the variety available. For dinner, we ordered the short rib pappardelle (OMG next time THIS WILL BE MINE), the filet et frites, an ahi tartare with a beet salad, the scallops and I ordered a flatbread. The flatbread was probably the biggest snooze - nothing to write home about. I appreciated the cheese to flatbread ratio, though, as a total cheesehead. The filet was so tender and delicious. The scallops were appealing though perhaps just ever-so-slightly overcooked (according to my friend, but to my virgin scallop palate they were fine). I didn't taste the ahi or the beet salad. But lord, that pappardelle. Yum. I loved it and wanted to steal the plate from my pal! We enjoyed a typical lava cake for dessert to celebrate the birthday boy. This was on the house and as a standard restaurant dessert, it wasn't anything exciting, but it was pleasant and I would have no problem ordering it for a dessert, though there were some other nice options on the menu. Overall, the food was great. The staff very friendly and attentive. Loved the decor inside and then groovy bathrooms. We had a very nice time. Yes, a bit on the pricey side but then, Cohn Restaurants are not inexpensive eateries. A very tasty and relaxed evening.

Such a shame, could be so much better. This is a beautiful restaurant and obviously they spent a fortune making it look fantastic. However, the food and service leave a lot to be desired in my opinion. I've gone there twice now and the servers play the typical hide in the back and only make brief cameo appearances game. They are never around when you want a drink refill or anything else. But even more importantly, the food tastes very low quality here to me. For some reason the food is presented beautifully and sounds good on the menu but when it is in front of you and you are looking at it and eating it it leaves a lot to be desired. I tried the deconstructed turkey pot pie (only ate a few bites of it, took the rest to go and gave the leftovers to a homeless person). Tried the fried artichoke hearts on the recommendation of our server. They were the MARINATED artichoke hearts, tasted like they were right out of a can or jar, sour and awful tasting! Why they can't use REAL, FRESH, NON-MARINATED artichoke hearts is beyond me. I also tried the short rib papardelle. Tasted ok, but the pasta was so overcooked it was like mush. Also took half of the short ribs home and ended up giving away those leftovers as well! I also ordered the brownie ala-mode dessert, the ice cream sucked ass, tasted like crappy grocery store ice cream that was frozen super hard. Found out it was actually Breyer's ice cream! What high-end restaurant serves Breyers (or Dreyers or Blue Bell) ice cream??? I refuse to buy that crap at the grocery store, and certainly don't want to be overcharged for it at a restaurant! Haagen Daaz or Gelato Vero ONLY for me from now on, I'm not eating crappy ice cream ever again, not worth the calories if it doesn't even taste good. Come on... I Really hope this place gets a handle on their food quality issues and retrains all servers to be observant, not oblivious. After two times eating here I doubt I will be back and it's such a shame because it is a fantastic location and great venu. Oh well...

Husband and I tried OB Warehouse last night and had a pretty good experience. Bad things first, we called ahead and when we arrived they told us 30 min wait. We were starving so we sat at the bar and ordered drinks and an appetizer. The bartender was super busy and I felt as if I couldn't ask questions about their fancy drink menu, she wasn't approachable. Bout 15 min later they sat us so we got to enjoy our appetizer at our table. We ordered the trio hummus and it was delicious. I ordered the Gluten free Mahi Mahi and he ordered the lamb burger. We would both order the entrees again. Very tasty. My husband really liked his beer the #7 porter. It is really loud in there, music needed to be turned down 2 notches. We will go back though!!

Ugh just another place that makes OB a better casual beach town than PB (sad because I live in PB). Came here for brunch on Sunday and was more than thrilled with my experience. The staff was so friendly-from the hostess who sat us to the multiple people who checked on us to make sure our dining experience was on point. Started out our meal by planting a tree.. well not really but they have a list of awesome drinks that you can buy and when you do, a tree is planted in Central or South America.. can't remember but I love both those places and the drinks were phenomenal. I got a salad which is out of character for my appetite but it was really good and every other dish that I saw come out looked delicious. Decor is really trendy and cute and I loved the bathrooms as well. We also had the pleasant surprise of live music and the open layout and windows made for an airy and relaxing dining experience. My roommate and I even debated returning there for dinner that night so it's no surprise that I plan on returning in the near future :)

REALLY dig this place, the ambiance is spectacular! We came later in the evening and bellied up to the bar with some friends, enjoyed craft beers on tap as well as tasty cocktails. We also enjoyed the Whoopie Pie - DELISH! Looking forward to coming back for dinner!

Stopped by after driving through....cute place on second floor. Waitress took a bit long to take our order but she was so sweet and didn't charge me for my meal. Had the fries with the eggs over-easy on top. It was tasty and I like the skinny fries.

I came back again for dinner to give it another try. I went with the filet frites and the daily Tractor drink. The filet medallions and sauce were delicious. Super tender cuts and cooked medium rare as I had asked. The food arrived hot unlike the previous dining experience so that was a big improvement. I would definitely order this again! I also changed it up a bit and sat at the bar instead of a table. I liked the bar better because the two bartenders were very nice, attentive and made some very good Tractors ;) The second visit redeemed my first two star rating of OB warehouse...thankfully...since I hate to see a new place and Cohn restaurant (which has a good reputation) go down in flames.

I loved the ambiance of this restaurant. I ordered the hummus plate. Three different types of hummus that tasted soo fresh. I loved it. They have a really great drink menu with unique choices. Really looking forward to going back and exploring the menu a bit more. Great spot for a date night

OB Warehouse - I want to love you, I really do, but you have to woo me a bit more....decor was super cool, the menu is ehh, nothing jumped out at me like it was something I HAD to have. Both me and my boo thang liked the food we had. Had crab cakes for an appetizer, I had the Little Gem Salad (only cause I'd been having stomach issues that day - TMI, I know, HAAA!) and he had the Filet Frites. Pricey, but good. We sat at the bar, but service wasn't so great, surprisingly. He hardly checked on us, mixed up our bills with someone else's, and just seemed distant. OB Warehouse, you're so damn cool, I'll give you another chance, cause i really want to love you...

Any place that has a specialty drink where OB is spelled into the foam wins me over! It's called Screws, Nuts, and Bolts and it's fantastic (note I don't even like whiskey)! Our server David P. ups the ante in customer service and the food is super high quality and delicious! We started with the calamari, which is non-conventional because it's Asian-infused-SUPER good! My boyfriend's classic burger was cooked to perfection and the tomato pesto dipping sauce was an added bonus. I don't usually like wedge salads but I ordered it with Chicken and was in heaven! The only down side to this place is the high prices but you're definitely getting what you pay for! Can't wait to come back:

Great choice of unique handmade cocktails with fresh herbs and local brews. Cool 2nd floor eclectic 'warehouse' decor with authentic airstream fronting the kitchen. Live classical / Motown guitarist.

Service and atmosphere is so amazing. Makes for a truly original experience. Came with 4 others that all say they will be back. Lil Gem Wedges is the best twist on a wedge I've had in a long time.

I normally dont write bad reviews but I just had poor service so....It is overly priced and really not that worth it. I did not get a waitress to serve me as I sat with friends so I went to the bar where the bartender was fine and asked what I would like but then the rude lady who was I guess the Mgr of the bar area because she goes to me "Move away to the left keep the space open here!" I was not in the way of anyone and there was space open and not even a line or business going on...It was just plain rude. I actually told the Manager that it was just uncalled for etc.

Meeting friends in OB for a birthday. Thinking we are going to some hole in the wall. We end up at the warehouse. As an industry person, I don't say this much but I was blown away by this place. Ambiance is amazing, great menu and exceptional drinks! Danica was an awesome waitress as well!

Awesome new spot in OB. The decoration is great. The kitchen being the side of a motorhome is genious and the patio projecting old movies on the alley wall is a great touch. Great selection of locak beers and many appetizers. I will definitely come back. Great place to impress a date or bring visitors from out of town!

Came in for restaurant week and wasn't disappointed. Fantastic food. Ordered off the prefix menu and had the Moroccan Flat Iron Steak. OMG! So delicious. Great service from Dave. Totally engaging with us. If I lived in San Diego, I would be a regular. The only thing I would say is that one of the hostesses was a little off putting and didn't share the rest of the positive energy that the other staff possessed and exuded.

Above average hipster gastropub. Food is excellent, 9.5/10 even. Decent value. The place is a little over-managed, over-done and it tries too hard, almost to the point of desperation. I couldn't take a piss without an employee getting in my way trying to dust off a dumb wrench display in the male restroom. I mean yeah, the place is really nice and the design is great and the waitresses go out of their way to be nice, but all this stuff is outweighed by not being able to have a fucking conversation without hearing about "how the asian spices add heat to the back end of the tuna". I guess it is a nice hip place for a date, but I won't be adding this to my list "go-to" places despite the food being some of the best available in OB. This place can be amazing if they get rid of 80% of its staff, replace the six figure manager with some college kid and stop trying to be more sophisticated and cool then a ~$30 place can.

This place had a GREAT first impression! First off the service from Thomas was great, he was super knowledgable about everything and completely sold me on the tractor drink of the week. We had the poutine appetizer, which was a little salty but still really tasty. My pork belly flatbread was amazing, wish it had a little more pork but nonetheless it tasted amazing. The lamb burger my boyfriend had was something new, fresh and so tasty! Oh and we also gave in at 11 when the kitchen was about to close and the manager let us order off the dinner menu still. All in all this was a great experience and we will definitely be back for another date night (:

David Cohn is genius. Awesome concept. Love the interior design, everything. My BF and I shared the chipotle chicken flat and added goat cheese. Sooooooo delicious!! We also shared the crab cakes and friesss. Their cocktails are yummm. But I feel like the bolts, nuts and screws could've been way stronger. David Cohn should create the Anaheim packing district, but a San Diego one. Now that would just be pure genius. Love love love his concepts!

Chef Elias and his crew went above & beyond our expectations to give us the best dining experience possible. Not only was the food FANOMINAL, the vibe of this restaurant is one that is hard to find in San Diego. The culture of this restaurant will help it to to stand out in the SD restaurant scene in the future. The menu is very eclectic, and the taste is equally so. Great addition to OB.

Great service, great food and very unique restaurant for OB. Can be loud later in the evening but it's just the way the sound carries. I normally cannot stand communal dining tables but, I didn't mind it here at all. Tables are large so if you're on a date it works out fine. Definitely call for a reservation to make things easier, just incase, you never know when it will suddenly get busy. Bar looked great, nice and big.

I AM ALL IN~!! This place is awesome~!! Bringing class to OB is just what the area needed~! Surprisingly a Cohn restaurant I am def a fan. Once you head inside and go straight upstairs you enter the warehouse-like environment that oozes awesomeness. From the bar to the windows everything is classy-industrial. So the environment and atmosphere is great. Got it. How is the food? AMAZING~! I tried several of the cocktails from the bar watching the mixologists taking care to ensure each was made to perfection with tastes of freshness seeping from the hand-smacked sage to the lemon twist. The flat bread on the happy hour menu is worth the trip itself. This thing is like a nine inch long fresh ingredients pizza. The bread, the cilantro, the cheese, the onions all blend perfectly to give you a different twist on flat bread. I will definitely be back, again, and again, and again...

Good bar type food and vibe. Service was okay but a bit intrusive. Tables are pretty close together so having private conversation was hard. I could hear table talk from both tables besides ours. If you like Cohen Group restaurants you will like this restaurant.

I'm going 3 stars because both flatbreads we ordered lacked flavor, the mushroom one and the sausage. The bartender Jade and the manager were amazing and comped them both for us, but I would rather pay for something and enjoy it, so that was nice of them. The flat iron steak was cooked to perfection (med-rare) but the sauce almost took away from it. Maybe a chicken dish would have been better to complement the Moroccan sauce. I love steak straight up so maybe that was my fault. The dumplings killed it! Ordered two sets of those and loved the pea tendrils. Decor in this place was amazing. My eyes were wandering the whole time, but at lighting and artwork. Drinks were good too, I ordered something similar to a Manhattan and it had a bit of absinthe in it. I'm a strong believer that the Cohen group will get this place dialed in shortly and will come check it out again. I don't think it will ever be TOO busy on a weekend which is nice because there is a lot of seating and they even had a projector out back showing movies against a huge wall. Bathrooms were nicely designed too. Once the food blows my mind they will be getting 5-stars from me.

I cannot write enough about OB Warehouse. Cohn restaurants are great, but this one hits it out of the park. The manager was sweet and helpful, very nice (sorry I did not catch her name). Our waiter Dusty really made us feel like royalty. He knows the menu inside out and I have no idea how he can remember the details on all those beers! We got many appetizers and got to taste some of my friends dishes and all of them were fantastic. The shishito peppers, buttermilk fried chicken and beet salad are highly recommended, and my Filet Frit trio medallions were cooked to perfection. My favorite restaurant has always been Indigo Grill and this one will be up there now.

EVERYthing at OB Warehouse was absolutely on point. Wait: We went on a Saturday night, and we only waited about 10 minutes. It was crowded, but not overly so. Service: Incredibly helpful. She never made us feel like she was in a hurry or rushing off to another table. She took the time to answer our questions and make suggestions. Food quality: Each dish struck the perfect note. The artichoke hearts were delicious and very rich. My boyfriend loved them, but I could only have a few because they were so rich. The Nectarine-Heirloom Tomato Salad was perfect. The watercress was crisp, the tomatoes flavorful, and the lavendar/honey dressing was delicate. The Seabass was lovely, the grits creamy, the grilled corn delicious, the snap peas, well, snappy! Loved it! The Coconut Tapioca was creamy, and the fruit so fresh. Drinks: The Tractor was refreshing and the perfect mix of cucumber and basil, and the Sledgehammer was a cocktail made with an IPA, which was an interesting twist. Price: Reasonable. Ambiance: So cool. It was spacious and open. The little hand mirrors all over the bathroom wall were a great touch. The music choice was spot on, and I disagree with those above that it was too loud. I thought it was perfect. EVERYTHING was wonderful!

Went to OB Warehouse for a late dinner last night. Overall, I was impressed and think this is a very welcome addition to Ocean Beach. What I liked - the design, the late night hours, the food! The space is cool - vintage industrial, with nice details. The ladies room was especially well done with antique hand mirrors covering the walls and little perfume vials near the sink. The place is big and with the windows open on a summer night overlooking Newport, it's a pretty good place to be. Plenty of TVs to watch games, including a projection screen on the building opposite. The tables were a little close together for my liking and I am sick of the communal table concept, but otherwise I really liked the space. The menu - A very wide variety of dishes. About 7 apps, 5 salads, 4 flatbreads and maybe 10 mains. We got the tuna tartare, which was fantastic - very fresh with oranges which I had never had on tartare before and the chiccarones, which were good, but not great for the price, but I am a sucker for the pork rinds and anything that comes "in a bag." For the main course we both had burgers (the standard one, not the greek). The burgers were perfectly cooked and delicious. Several items on the menu sounded especially delicious - the curry shrimp, the flatbreads and some of the salads. It seems a little overpriced for some dishes, but overall you can get a good meal for two there for under $70, with apps. The service - This might just be me, but the service was overly attentive. Our server came by maybe 7 times and stopped a couple of times to describe the ingredients of what we were eating. This was too much for me. I want to hear the specials, hear recommendations and then maybe get checked on once or twice during the meal to have drinks refreshed, etc. Some people would probably appreciate the extra chattiness and it seems from looking at other reviews that this is the type of service environment the restaurant is cultivating.

We went back to OB Warehouse over the weekend and things were really great! I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. First off, I have to thank the group of hosts. I am extremely picky about where I sit at a restaurant and will gladly wait at the bar until a table opens up. The hosting staff were very understanding and we ended up at a table that was PERFECT - it was a bit quieter and intimate, perfect for date night. Service: Previously, my biggest complaint was about the amount of service we were getting and I would say that was greatly resolved. We had our server (Heather) and one person bussing our dishes and filling our drinks. This was a huge improvement - they were both attentive, but we didn't feel overwhelmed by our service at all. Also - Heather was really great. She made food recommendations for us and suggested that we switch proteins around. Food: Another MAJOR improvement was that they're now offering daily specials. YAY! We had the caprese salad, beet salad, and the artichokes to start with. Honestly, all three dishes were absolutely fantastic. The beet salad was probably the best beet salad I've ever had in my entire life. Also, the artichokes were so much better than I would have expected and I would absolutely order them again. In addition, I had the the sea bass dish, but subbed scallops for the sea bass. It was wonderful, but the stand out was my husbands dish. He had the moroccan flat iron dish, but subbed in the filets. It was TO DIE FOR!!! All of our food was really, really, really great. Like... really great. I can't stop thinking about the caprese salad, beet salad, and artichokes. Overall impression: I'm really happy with the progress that the Warehouse has made with keeping their own brand, while fitting into the culture of Ocean Beach. My random highlights (in addition to the food) were finding that I could switch out proteins on the dishes, the daily specials, and knowing that you can do beer flights! :)

Anyone who's read my reviews know that I can be critical at times, so here goes. I did not know what to expect with OB Warehouse. The niche that they appear to be tracking towards is squarely aimed at Bo Beau. If they are aiming there, they hit the bullseye. Everything about this place makes me feel like I'm not on Newport, in OB. It was not overcrowded with tourists, the food was excellent, the service was top notch and the beer, wine and bourbon selection was nice. Our waitress Danica was very helpful and friendly. We had three different appetizers, and all of them were indicative of a seasoned chef who understood that farm to table is more than just a cliche. It has to taste like someone opened a spray can of freshness. The combinations of fresh ingredients and unique twists on Cali-gastro fare was delightful. OB & San Diego, a new foodie paradise has arrived!!!!

Stopped by for their social hour and the server Nina was so very attentive. Jake came over and attended to me when I needed some extra help. Great service!!!! The food was amazing, I ordered the chicken pot stickers and chicken Chipotle chicken. The flavors came together so well. I topped it all off with a drink from the bar, the vice grip. The specials make it worth while. 2 drinks, a Flatbread and an appetizer for $30 is not bad. Good food and great service, well worth every penny. I will definitely be coming back here, especially if the tunes are pumping like they are.

Really enjoyed our first brief trip here on a quiet Sunday (was less quiet by the time we left). Bottom line, I am excited to have a Cohn restaurant in OB that is a little less crowded and snooty than Bo Beau yet delivers the same level of service, food and decor. I love BB but don't feel comfortable just ordering small plates and drinks there on a weekend evening. Great service and excellent food. We loved the chicken oysters and artichokes. The mushroom flatbread was good but honestly not as memorable as those two apps. Both were bright, fun, truly excellent riffs on bar food. Can't wait to return and try more including entrees. Ambience is hip without being overbearing, as expected. Finally, Chronic Ale on tap made hubby happy. Lots of tasty cocktails ($3 off for HH) made me happy. The Tractor was a little weird (smoke flavor, cider, lime, maple syrup, peaches and grey goose) but it sure was easy to finish... Dangerous.

Date night with my husband, decided to check this place out for a drink since it was new and we were planning on having dinner at another fav closer to the pier and sunset. Put it this way...we sat at the bar and never left! Michael our bartender was AMAZING! He was personable, friendly, extremely knowledgeable about the beer/wine/cocktail pairings with the menu and he made us feel like we were the only ones at the bar! Mike made some great suggestions for an appetizer and when what I ordered wasn't working out in the kitchen the chef came out and personally apologized and offered to treat my husband and I to something else that he and his sous chef were working on. At this point my husband and I were not leaving for our planned restaurant up the street! We loved the menu and the variety of options and flavors nothing to trendy or fancy and the price point was very reasonable! We can't wait to go back and bring some friends and visit with Michael at the bar again!

I was expecting another trendy menu from the Cohn family of restaurants and was brilliantly surprised. The atmosphere is positively unique-creative-eclectic and cleverly interesting. Ordered Filet Frites... it was prepared beautifully and together with bottle of Pinot Noir from Spain... I'll be back!. The service was excellent and upbeat, helpful with food and wine recommendations. Thank you for coming to our neighborhood, a welcome addition to OB!!

I have been to one of the other Cohn restaurants, BO-Beau, which is outstanding. So needless to say, I had high hopes. I walked away satisfied. The renovation they did in there is amazing and the decor is really great. Huge bar with plenty of seating. Great place to go for a drink. It is always a pleasure to see Two Hearted Ale on tap as well. The food seemed a little overpriced. I got the chicharrones which were good. The short rib pappardelle was underwhelming.

I can't say enough good things about our experience at CRG's new haunt OB Warehouse. It is exactly what this neighborhood needs! OB is one of my fav spots in SD but I have always wished for a better bar and restaurant scene. The decor is absolutely beautiful! OB Warehouse did not miss a mark when it comes to conceptual design: dual hand washing sink, neat industrial signage, open air windows, creative wall art, and a variety of open and intimate seating! The attention to detail and the quality is outstanding. The hand mirrors in the women's restrooms - adorable! My friend and I split the Ahi Tuna starter - delicious and fresh. Sashimi grade tuna! I had the Hail to the Kail Caesar and added chicken. Perfectly dressed, super fresh and flavorful. My friend ordered the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad - the honey lavender dressing is out of this world. And like any good girls night out, we split the Whoopie Pie for dessert. We both said (at the same time), "this has every flavor one would want!" Sweet, salty, rich, creamy, chocolate bliss dish of goodness. We finished it up with black coffee - perfect ending to an outstanding meal. As an East Coaster, I can be snobby about food and this is one of the best experiences I have had in SD since moving here two years ago. Our server Jake was attentive and friendly - he also provided great recommendations! The Floor Manager, General Manager and Beverage Director stopped by to check on us - total professionals who made us feel very welcome and excited to have us! The music was great, the bar was busy and the host staff sat us at this cute table outside where old Charlie Chaplin movies displayed on the back wall of the alley - super cool! Can't wait to go back and try more goodies! Try the Apprentice and the Carpenter - the coupe glass couldn't be any cuter for this cocktail. OB Warehouse is the perfect spot for groups, girls' nights out and even date nights! I really believe there is something for everyone there! We found parking very easily out front too.

Attended the grand opening last night. As usual Cohen restaurants do not disappoint. Ocean Beach is not known for good food or restaurants besides OB Noodle House so it was refreshing to have another actual good restaurant that is not a dive. The decor was super hip, fresh and urban feeling. It was upscale yet casual which is great because people in San Diego never seem to want to be fancy (though I enjoy it). Ladies at front said it would be a maybe 15-30 min wait which turned out to be 5 min wait. Though we did get there rather early at 5:30pm, but it was nice to not wait. Our server Dusty was super nice and friendly. He explained that they had made employees try all food and drinks so he was well knowledgable. He was very nice and attentive and wanted to know what we thought about everything. You know how it is when place is brand new opening night. I will definitely be going back soon. Prices we a little high but that's what you get for exceptional food!!

Another great spot popping up in OB!!!! My gf and I came here on a Monday night to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the place was pretty busy and most of the tables were full. We ended up sitting at the bar because we thought we would just have a drink or two and be on our merry way. After seeing some of the food come out, however, we decided that we had to try it. Best decision ever made... First off, our drinks were awesome. "Matt" was our bartender. He was super cool, super knowledgeable, and he made one of the best Old Fashioned's I have had in a very long time; it was so simple, yet smooth and crisp. My gf had one of their house cocktails, called the Sledgehammer. It smelled musty, like a scotch, but it tasted absolutely delicious, with kind of a light, fruity overall flavor. And the scotchy smell only exists because they use a "mist" of Laproiag in preparing the drink -- in other words, it's smells like scotch because there is scotch in the drink! Anyway...both drinks were perfect and Matt seemed like a really cool guy. Now, the food... We got the Crispy Artichoke Hearts and Potstickers as appetizers. Both were amazing! The artichoke was honestly one of the best artichoke dishes I've had in my entire life -- no joke. It was lightly dusted in what appeared to be panko (or something?) and then very lightly fried to perfection; ultimately, coming out almost like calamari. SO. GOOD. YOU MUST TRY IT!!! Potstickers are obviously ubiquitous and not very exciting, but these were as good as they get. My gf even said they reminded her of potstickers she ate in China a few years ago. That's pretty radical, if you ask me. For an entree, we shared an order of the Filet Medallions. We ordered them medium-rare and they came out perfectly cooked. Everything was absolutely delicious, and there was not a spot of food left on the plate when we were done. We ordered the Whoopie Pie for desert. It was definitely delicious, but it was very rich (as a desert ought to be) and I was almost too full to eat any of it. And for that, I am slightly ashamed. Overall, we had an awesome experience and we will definitely be coming back. Also, I have to shout-out to their manager (Mike, I think???) who helped us make our selections on the food. He was really knowledgeable and professional, and without coming across as a food snob. Overall, a really nice guy. He also told us the chef is always experimenting with new items for the menu, which is pretty radical too. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next...

This place is hands down the best ocean beach has to offer. I was really impressed with the creative deco right when I walked in. It is a very comforting but creative and trendy type of place. They offer outdoor seating as well which is nice. We ordered the catnitas sopes and omg they were fantastic. The chef, I believe her name was Natalie made us some fresh salsa fresca upon request even though it was not on the menu. We also ordered a chx flat bread that was really good too. Our server David was great. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, the manager also named David was phenomenal and a pleasure to talk with. I'm very excited to eat there again. And being a local of ocean beach means i will be there a lot!! They are definitely the best!!! Thanks guys for an awesome experience. I have already told like 5 different people about this place. Welcome to the neighborhood!!!

Starting with service....Kristen and Dave provided outstanding service to our table! They also provided great menu recommendations against a very diverse menu. Both were well versed in the menu and told 'the story' of this new outlet.... The ambience/physical plant is a 'home run'.....I was last in this venue 8 years ago when it was a dark space (Portugalia)....they have done a great job of re-energizing the space and making it a much more customer friendly environment. The Gulf Stream trailer frontage is interesting and adds to the wonder... I typically do not comment on restroom facilities but theirs are 'interesting' with communal wash areas.....Again, interesting concept. Hours of operation As a dinner/late night dining and bar option....this will be well received. Their challenge will be price point in the OB market. I will be back to see how this is received. Food Offerings Tried a bit of everything.... Chicharones....good flavor, could have been hot/warmer Pot Sticker.....awesome flavor and texture.....3 items for 2 people (opportunity to make potion match the table) Scallops...WOW! Culinary home run.....many flavors competing for my attention including cumin, cinnamon etc....I typically am concerned about texture of scallops and these were perfect! Flat Bread...sausage/cheese was a nice complement without an over powering ingredient. This would have been perfect as the entire meal but we were trying as many items as possible... Staff was great and attentive....manager David did a great job of ensuring all tables in our section were well attended. We will be back!

Two stars is not for the food. We got the whoopie pie which was delicious! No lie, it was not too too sweet. There was this fluffy cream stuff on top that completely cut off that overwhelming I need milk and a nap feeling you get after you eat a restaurant chocolate based dessert. It was my favorite restaurant dessert to date. The two stars doesn't come from our greeting. I asked random waitresses their recommendations and they gave me knowledgeable, in depth, playful and kind guidance in my selection. I chose the vice grip from the cocktail menu. So I warn the bartender, "ehh dude, I drink bottom shelf trash." I get my drink and fight to learn to like it, all the while asking more questions than any bartender I have ever known would be prepared to answer and Nick battled them down like a champ with delicate, informative answers. About ten minutes into our experience we realize no one will acknowledge us any more. We heard the manager say to take the drink off our bill and it seemed like the bartender was in trouble because I don't have a mature palette. We loved the dessert, I came to realize chocolate is not my thing nor is tequila but the drink was still good, just not my style. We tipped very well and as we left I told the bartender the drink was well made and that we would be back. We tipped double our check despite the manager seeming to tell get people to distance themselves from the picky girls in the corner of the bar. I wouldn't be back because the staff choose to ignore us on the misconceived notion that we weren't enjoying the experience. Everything was fantastic otherwise! Try it out, I hope you like the vice grip more than I did. ;)

I have been to the wherehouse Multiple times and always had an enjoyable experience. Today our sever jake was great and our food was good as usual but the manger Yami B or her boss? was terrible. She refused to serve a friend of mine who was clearly not inebriated a beer. It was before 7pm and we came in a group. As a non drinker and a person who has worked in customer service for 15 years and is In management my self I was appalled! The manager singled the one person out. The food is great but this manger clearly had an issue with my friend. I'm not sure if it is a racial issue? Hoping ob where house corrects this management behavior. 1 star for management and 5 for food and decor.

We tried this place 10 days after they open, I love the Cohn Group ( Island Prime is my fav ) . Decor was very interesting, we ate at the table before the kitchen, it's a huge rolling cart that they transform into a table. The light fixture next to us was made of keyholes . And of course you can miss the huge WV bus in the middle of the restaurant. Service was top notch , of course they just opened . I loved the bathroom too and the mint & rosemary soap smelled so good. Food: I had the artichoke hearts , those were the best dish I had that night ! As an entree , I had the burger, and it really lacked seasoning . I was very disappointed .

Went with a bunch of the girls for brunch on a Saturday. We went early, and I'm glad we did. We warned them when they seated us that we would likely be loud. It's an open floor plan, and sound carries between tables. They still seated an older couple next to us, who promptly asked to move (silly hostess people). But the food was excellent, and the chef even came out to ask how he could fix a dish for us that had corn tortillas in it (one was allergic to corn). They kindly swapped out a dish that she could eat, all of the food was excellent.

We love the Cohn family restaurants, however the music was so loud we couldn't even converse. Is this a nightclub or is it a restaurant? Our dinner was delicious, our waitress was very attentive, the decor is a lot of fun, but I don't know that we will come back if we can't have a conversation due to the excessive volume of the music.

We have been eating here since the soft opening. To begin, I am glad that space is finally being used. The decor is great. I thoroughly enjoy the ambience. It falls in line with the recent trend of perfectly decorated restaurants. It is a very open space and I love sitting in the back patio area if I have my son, because it is cut off from most of the other diners, and if he isn't on his best behavior, it isn't embarrassing. They also play a movie against the wall across the alley when it gets dark and will entertain him by putting on a Disney/kids movie. The service is generally great. There were a couple of times the service was slower, but not terribly slow. The parking is going to be iffy. It's off Newport in Ocean Beach...so depending on the season, weather and day of the week, you might easily find a spot...or the OB area in general might be super packed and parking will be a hustle. We can walk here, so it's not an issue...but I remember the parking struggle when I didn't live here. The prices for food or drinks will be on the higher end. It is a nicer restaurant. It isn't one of the many dive bars we have in OB, so you should manage your expectations for pricey craft beer, cocktails and food. On that note. The drinks are great! The food is where I have a bit of an issue, but nothing huge. Ever since we have gone here, we always order the Little Gem wedge salad. It has always been delicious. It has bleu cheese, bacon, tomatoes and apple slices that is balanced perfectly with a peppery vinegar sort of dressing. The last few times we have been here, the dressing was either not on the salad or just not as good and there were no apples on the salad. To make up for it, the head cook came out and personally offered me sliced pears because they didn't have apples. That was really going above and beyond. It sounds menial, but those little details make the difference between a fabulous salad and an average salad. And there have been times I came to eat here just for that salad. My boyfriend and I have also noticed the quality of food has gone down. Nothing drastic, but we just feel less impressed with the last couple of visits...we usually spend $50+ every meal here and used to enjoy it a couple of times a week. We asked to see if there was a change in Chef, but the manager that night said it is the same chef...so we aren't sure why it just isn't as good. Speaking of the management. They are great. With the original management team, we started becoming regulars and they even knew which movie to project for my 5 year old. It seems the management team has changed and the one we spoke to from our last visit seemed empathetic to what we felt was a decline in the quality of food. He said he was going to order the dishes we ate to see if the new hires might be doing something incorrectly. Overall, it is a great dining experience and we still eat here frequently. I would really like to see it get back to the quality we enjoyed when they were new, but still feel it is worth our business as it is.

Great atmosphere and really friendly staff! The sous chef overheard my friend and I wanting to go to a cafe near by and she told us to try the warehouse! I was so glad we listened. It's so cute. We just went for drinks and they were delicious. The bartender was ultra friendly and made recommendations that we both liked. We didn't try the food because we just wanted beverages, but I am definitely coming back! Everything looked delicious.

We never made it by when Portugalia was in this location, but when we heard a new Cohn restaurant opened up, we rushed in to try it! Our server Jake was absolutely amazing; knowledgeable when it came to the menu items and extremely polite! The food: For the appetizer, we tried the krispy kung pow kalamari dish, which had amazing flavors but the sauce seemed a bit heavy! We also ordered the fattoush salad which was light and fresh, but my mom and I ordered it to share, not realizing that the portion was a little on the smaller side. For an entree, we split the moroccan spiced rub flat iron which was done to perfection! Once again, the potatoes and onions that the steak came with seemed a little overpowered by the butter or whatever they were cooked in, but the rub on the steak was sooo delicious!! The atmosphere: We went on a sunday night to avoid a crowd, and we were quite successful in that aspect. The noise level was moderate, and my mom and I could unfortunately overhear everything the couple next to us was saying due to the proximity of the seating. However we managed to still have quite a lovely evening, and there are tons of fun seating options available... ie the casual lounge area, bar, outdoor patio with movie screen projection, or regular seating inside! The decor was super hip and appropriate for the "warehouse" feel. The kitchen is built into a retro airstream trailer in the corner of the restaurant which was super awesome! Overall, the staff was extremely friendly/polite (they even called me to let me know I had forgotten my sweater in the booth), the food was delicious, and the design was super fun. A little pricey for me to go back by myself (poor college student here), but meets the standards I would have for any restaurant that is a member of the Cohn group! Can't wait to go back to try out the happy hour vibe! So happy to see this place in OB!

We went there for our 32nd wedding anniversary and were glad we did. This location use to be a home for Portugalia, poor man's Rei Do Gado. Looks like poor men don't bring enough money, so Portugalia is gone. OB Warehouse was open just month and a half ago, but feels like well established place without getting complacent and lazy. We shared a beer flight (four samples), lamb burger, and flatbread with mushrooms. Everything was good. They even split everything for us and offered us a complementary dessert on account of our anniversary. Special thanks to Stephanie who was very attentive.

I'm from OB born and raised and when a new place opens up especially on Newport I deff go and check out every inch of the place... The prices are a bit steep but you deff are paying for the decor.. The place has a very hipster feel and the music is extremely loud to the point where you find yourself yelling so I would say it's a better place to grab a $10 drink then to bring a date for dinner... But I must say the music pleased me .. The Black Keys, Portugal The Man... Very hip new music. And projecting a movie on the wall of the alley for the patio seating is pretty nifty ... But all and all this place doesn't really fit OB and I think it would fit in somewhere in North Park .

not the typical OB dive.... felt more north parky. however, killer beers and the farro salad is to die for!!! very nice staff too!

First the bad. I'm celebrating my birthday and my friends bday with 2 other friends. The 2 birthday boys walk in and tell the hostess we need a table for 4 for dinner. It's early and the place is pretty dead. The hostess asks me when the rest of our party will arrive. I tell her "now". She tells me she can't seat us until the rest of our group arrives. Bad answer. The two of us our both instantly angry and ready to tell her not to worry because we're going somewhere else. But I make a smart ass comment comparing them to Benihana and hold my temper. My friend tells me how rude the young little hostess was, but we wait the 3 minutes for our friends to arrive. Our friends agree that the policy is ridiculous and we've started our dinner on a bad note. Then she sits us at a "communal" table and tells us that others might sit with us. We roll our eyes at each other because there were plenty of other tables to seat us at, but being social and loving OB, we let it go. I'm done with the bad. Our server Dusty saved the day. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and always there when we needed him. Dust is the main reason for the 5 star review. We had an absolutely great time and a great dinner. I had the filet medallions of beef and one of the best salads of all time(forgot the name). It was a iceberg wedge salad with blue cheese, bacon, apples, walnuts, dressing(vinaigrette I think) and they added chicken at our special request. I called it a man salad. Order it! The decor was really cool. The kitchen was a classic stainless steel streamliner camper/trailer converted to be the front of the kitchen. Really cool decorated bathrooms also. Very clean and roomy. Super cool addition to OB. Oh yeah. We got lucky and happened to come on a Wednesday(half off bottles of wine day) wine day. Score! We had 2 bottles of Pinot Noir and the American(Byron) was better than the French bottle. Ha! Management: Please take care of the rude policy that I complained about above. Dusty really did save the day with his great attitude and service. I want to come back again soon and try the flat bread sausage pizza.

If you are ready for a great dinner experience and attentive service, go here. It's fun and lively and the food is perfectly prepared. We had a family birthday to celebrate and it couldn't have been better. Not only was our waiter attentive but the chef and the manager all checked in to make sure we were happy. Put this one on your list to try!!!!!!

Went to the mock service this week and was very impressed. The decor was well done, it makes a statement and sets the mood from the minute you walk in. The food was very good and I was really impressed with their drink menu. The chipotle chicken flatbread was SO good , I will be back just for that!

I only stopped in for drinks, but the food looked great. The craft cocktails I had were stellar. I asked Darcy the bartender to make me a Corpse Reviver #2, and she was happy to read the ingredients off of my phone. It was made really well. Will be back again.

Went to this cool place last night for restaurant week. The atmosphere is really new, trendy, and well done. Would be a great place to go grab a drink and app if you didn't feel like committing to a full meal. We sat outside on the heated back patio. It was very cozy with heated seats and was screened in. The had a black and white movie being projected on the building behind the place too which was kinda cool. For my app I had the artichoke hearts - amazing. Grilled mahi mahi for the entree which was tasty enough, but came with cauliflower two ways which definitely was the best part of the entree. Dessert was the bread pudding ... I'm from New Orleans, so guess I'm a little more picky than most about such a southern sweet, but it was ok. Definitely a place Id want to make a regular option though if I lived in San Diego!

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I were warmly greeted by the hostesses and seated promptly. David, our server, was very knowledgeable about the menu items and answered any questions we had. He even recommended which wines paired best with our meals. The Ahi appetizer was outstanding along with the chicken flatbread. The filet was cooked perfectly. Teamwork here is great, our waters were never empty. Overall we loved the atmosphere, service and menu items. We will definitey be back and will be sure to ask for David again!

Amazing place! Everything about it!!! The décor gives the restaurant a very energetic vibe from the moment you walk in. The dining room has a casual yet very elegant atmosphere, which is perfect for either having some drinks in beachwear or in formal attire to impress your date! Oh, and you have got to checkout the bathrooms! The food is excellent! You have got to try the ahi appetizer, the beet salad, and the scallops! It was what I enjoyed today, and though I'm still full, all I can think about is wanting to go back in time to repeat it all! The beer list has got to be one of the best I have seen! Way to take advantage of all our local breweries! The service was by far the best service I have received anywhere. David (the Colombian) was very attentive and helpful. He was always there to meet our needs, and answered each and every question we had. He was extremely knowledgable, and made it hard to believe it was only their second day of mock service. Everyone else was great too, and though I didn't get any other names, I want to congratulate them on their teamwork! Thank you for the amazing dinner! Can't wait to go back :D

OB Warehouse is a great addition to the little city of O.B. & let my start off by saying DAVID our server is what all servers should aspire to be, he was attentive & knew everything on the menu & was excellent with his recommendations. We started off with an amazing Nectarine burrata salad, along with the made to order Chicharrones. I'll never buy the bagged junk again. Oh & the lamb burger oh my my my words can not express my bellies delight, cooked to perfection. I wish I had an alternative to fries, I'm sure if I would've inquired David would've pulled something out of his magical hat, but I didn't so I'll have to inquire upon my return. The other entree we ordered was the filet Mignon which was perfectly rare not cooked anymore than what was requested... In other words "Perfection" my mouth is simply watering as I type this review this place is awesome & I look forward to many more visits.

We went to OB Warehouse for the 1st time this week for happy hour. The 4 of us loved it and will go back again. We all shared delicious appetizers and flatbreads and enjoyed various beers and wine. Our server was excellent (David P.) and the manager checked to make sure we were happy. The only reason for the 4/5 stars is because I've only been there once.

Great ambience great service and GREAT food. The short rib pappardelle and shrimp curry dish was excellent. I was very impressed by Dustin "the best" he was our bartender, he was very accommodating and prompt. One of my new spots in OB ! If your looking for a great appetizer dish the crispy artichoke dish was a great starters. For drinks the Tractor was excellent , not to sweet and a good Crisp flavor.

Great addition to the San Diego food scene!!! Incredible place with incredible food and service. A simple menu with a great beer and cocktail selection. Great decor and music and you can still have a great conversation. A place to simply have a great meal and a great time. The sous chef is awesome he personally supervised our meal and came out to make sure everything was spot on.

What are the low flat tables for? They had almost a bed there I actually laid down on it-that was the highlight of the night. Drinks are way too expensive and the drink lists puzzling. I did like the 4 oz shots of beer for 2 bucks. This place is over my hippie head in more ways than one. For the money we spent I could have bought a weeks worth of groceries from the Olive Tree.

We went to have dinner here on 3/14/15 and I must say I was very pleased with our overall experience!! There was a very short wait when we got there but we ended up finding some seating at the bar and decided to just eat there. Dusty offered us wonderful service and whipped us up a couple of their tasty cocktails! We started off with Slow Braised Carnitas Sopes and they were absolutely delicious and so flavorful! I ordered the Short Rib Pappardelle and my boyfriend ordered the Lamb Burger. My boyfriend was very pleased with his food but unfortunately my dish just wasn't what I expected. The entree was prepared nicely and nothing was done wrong but the taste was just not to my personal liking. I am not ever one to send food back but in this case I decided I should. I must say that Dusty was so amazing in the way he handled the situation and was quick to find out what I wanted instead. Chef Elias came out and personally apologized for me not being happy with the entree and also delivered my new order once it was ready. How wonderful was that?! The second time around I ordered the classic burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had! I have not ever been so pleased with the service we received and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back many times in the future and pass the word along about the great eats and lovely service! Thank you again to Dusty and Chef Elias for a great experience!

Went here over the weekend to get appetizers and the staff was on top of it. Before my glass of wine was barely empty they were right there asking if I'd like another and asking if the food was ok. Dustin Best (Dusty) stood out the most with his warm greeting and attention to detail through out my time there. Thanks again to yet again another wonderful experience!

Too pricy, Mediocre service, and ok food. They brought my order of food to the wrong table. I didn't get my drink until I asked for it again. The amount of food you get for the price you way is not worth it. The food tastes good at least. The atmosphere is pretty. Parking is very limited. Don't go here for a date. It's too loud and not intimate.

My boyfriend took me to OB warehouse for a late birthday dinner. I could not get over how perfect everything was, starting with the service! The staff was AMAZING, they were on top of it, the busser was constantly refilling our water cups and the server made sure to check up on us to see we were taken care of. The service I received that day compares to the level of service you get at a fancy steak house, without the fancy steakhouse prices ! ;) The whole restaurant had this cute warehouse theme, for example they used painting trays as serving trays, so cute. The food was fantastic we had the burgers they were better than your average burger. Definitely a gem, I am happy we now have such a nice restaurant in OB everything else here is so grimey lol.

The Cohn Restaurant Group (CRG) has to be commended, perhaps knighted, for transforming the building that houses the OB Warehouse, whose previous tenant was the ill-fated Portugalia restaurant, into a showplace. Aesthetically, inside and out, Portugalia was a blight on Ocean Beach, so the spectacular makeover by CRG designer Philippe Beltran is not only an artistic triumph, but a huge boost to the community. Peace and love aside, much of the Newport Avenue business district is shopworn and tacky, so if one building could raise the ante and become an instant landmark and destination point, this is it! In essence, the new OB Warehouse is a work of art executed in a style that might be described as "vintage industrial." Many visits will be required to fully appreciate Beltran's and his workers' vision and creation of warehouse ambiance, attention to detail, sensitive juxtapositions of colors with textures, and inventive repurposing of thousands of salvaged, "retro" objects and graphics. For design aficionados, the restrooms and a 1960s-era, unpainted metal, Airstream trailer (part of the kitchen) rank among the most inspired aspects of Beltran's design. The décor reminds me of a loft-like space that could be found in SOHO in New York or SOMA in San Francisco. The OB Warehouse is open only for dinner and reservations are not accepted, so I walked in and dined solo. Due to the proliferation of hard surfaces in the interior and the animated crowd, the restaurant is noisy enough to be heard a block away. Don't look for cushy seats or tablecloths. Hard chairs, wood planks, and concrete prevail. Never mind! After all, you're dining IN a work of art. The consensus among my friends, acquaintances, and overheard conversations on the street is that OB Warehouse is a bit pricey, so I was surprised to see that almost none of the customers dressed for the occasion. Most were attired in beachwear. Throughout the evening, the service by the attentive, eager-to-please staff was amazingly smooth and professional, considering that this was only the second day of business. Although the dining room was crowded, I was seated almost immediately and offered a table by myself in a prime corner where I could observe everyone's comings and goings and savor the artistry of the interior. David P., my young waiter, was knowledgeable, extroverted, and spoke with a charming Colombian accent. The other staffers, ranging from the busboys to the hostesses, were attractive and first-rate. I don't drink alcohol (the bar menu looks ambitious, though), so I ordered only food, plus regular water. I was surprised that the "international cuisine"-oriented selections were, in my opinion, not particularly adventurous considering the great expense and creativity lavished on the décor. I wondered if the menu had been dumbed-down for some reason. (News flash: Despite the efforts of local die-hards, for better or for worse, OB is rapidly evolving from a dated beach town to a trendy, happening place. Rental and property prices are through the roof and there's plenty of discretionary income being thrown around!) Anyway, I ordered the second-most expensive item on the menu: the pan seared California white sea bass ($24.50), served with "creamy corn grits, sugar snap peas, heirloom rainbow carrots, yellow tomato coulis," all the while devouring the tiny serving of mini breadsticks (not much larger than golf pencils) -- and the delicious tomato basil sauce that accompanied them -- in a few bites. The entrée arrived at my table quickly. The portion of fish was small (yes, I know bass is expensive, but a guy's gotta eat!), but well-prepared, moist, and delicately flavored. It sat atop a large pool of pale yellow, creamy corn grits in which the aforementioned vegetables were embedded, for lack of a better word. I wasn't overwhelmed by the presentation. I downed the dinner in a few minutes and was still quite hungry. I asked for the menu again, ultimately trying to decide between the crispy artichoke hearts and the roasted baby beet salad, priced at ten dollars each. David recommended the artichoke hearts, saying that they were the most popular "starter" on the menu. In retrospect, I should have chosen the beet salad. The artichoke hearts, deep fried in a light batter and served on a bed of endive with lemon and a creamy lemon ginger sauce, were tender, but too oily for my taste. My intestines rebelled correspondingly. Including tip, the bill came to nearly $45, with no alcohol or drinks. Just a couple of suggestions for the management. Please check the tables for stability. Mine wobbled. Serve larger glasses of water, preferably with a slice of lemon. Fresh baked bread or rolls might be a better accompaniment to the rich food. Please open for lunch. Deliver a bit more bang for the buck or have some lower-priced, more inventive options on the menu. All that being said, I'll definitely be back to try other items and bask in the ambiance of the place.

My 3 stars are really 3.5. Everyone was very friendly, from the hostess to our waiter. All of the food tasted fine. However, nothing was innovative or extraordinary, including the potstickers and kale salad. The fried chicken "oysters" sound more interesting than they really are...just an okay version of boneless Buffalo wings. The flatbread, especially the crust, was uninspired. The atmosphere feels like a lazy, cheap knockoff of several hipper, more original restaurants like Craft & Commerce, Searsucker and Ironside. The Tuesday Date Night special is a good value... a salad, 3 starters and a bottle of wine for $39. Overall, not enough to rush back to. In OB, I'm much more drawn to Raglan Public House or Pizza Port.

Walking into this bar got me so stoked. The set up was awesome and there seemed to be many taps. Turns out the beer selection was disappointing in comparison to most craft bet bars, to bar tender was a huge jerk who couldn't even pour a beer. And the music was even worse. I didn't order food so I will not judge.

The only thing I have to say that is not positive is that their "reservation" policy is REALLY annoying. You have to call ahead an hour before you plan to arrive, to be put on the wait list, and then WHEN you arrive, they tell you...how long the wait is! What is up with that? What is the business model? This is a real deterrent to planning a special evening there. CRG, please take note--people don't like this! We have showed up a number of times and opted to go elsewhere because the wait was too long.

My wife and I tried this location at the recommendation of a co-worker. We were very pleased.... Location/Building: Located on the top end of Newport Ave. (THE main strip) in Ocean Beach (OB) the restaurant is an easy find and located in a better location for parking than near the beach (street parking only on local side streets). The ocean is a VERY easy .2 mile walk away for an after dinner stroll. The building has a back patio for sitting outside (view of alley but it is outside and pleasant). The interior and most decor are "warehouse" inspired (metal i-beams, metal walls, pipes, warehouse lights, lots of old looking wood, etc.). The also have limited seating at windows that look out over Newport Ave. It's a great place. Food: The food was very good and filling for a good price. We had the 3 hummus plate with flat bread. It is OK if a bit small in hummus serving size (lots of bread). We also ate the chicken flatbread pizza. It tasted great and was quite large for a $9.00 happy hour appetizer. The bread is warm and properly cooked (not doughy and not hard), the toppings were fresh, and the sauces tasted good. Finally, we split the hamburger as we were not that hungry. We were happy with this decision there was plenty of food due to the service sizes. The burger was a but undercooked for medium-well (still a bit more than pink inside) but it tasted great. Overall, the food seems quite good at this location and is worth a try. Service: We arrived at 5pm on a Friday and were among a limited number of patrons. Therefore, you'd expect good service and that is what we received. Our server was happy, polite, and quick to respond to our needs. She showed up at the right time and took good care of us. Give this establishment a shot. We would go back (if we aren't trying another local spot in OB first).

Artichoke hearts are great but the sea bass and grits were disappointment for a Cohen group restaurant. The sea bass was really fishy and the grits were like oatmeal. No bueno.

My husband and I love spending time in Ocean Beach, CA. We decided to try this new restaurant out. It was AWESOME!!! We walked in and were captured by the fun and yet unique atmosphere. We were told for dinner the wait would be about an hour and then this adorable woman, Crista, came outta the woodwork and we were seated within less than 10 minutes! We were seated in a little room on the back side of the building where the back wall was a big window and looking through it, they had a movie playing, like a drive-in show. However, it was playing on the wall of the building opposite us in the back alley. It was very Cool! I got to see the Avengers again. When the food came, We were in HEAVEN!! So delectable! I had the Filet Medallions, perfectly cooked, perfectly flavored, and perfectly HUGE! My husband had Fish and it was AWESOME too. The drinks were great! The service was Impeccable!!! We are going back! I want to share this place with the world! Yet, I really would like to keep it a secret so that we will have our own gem to visit. But, that's not fair either! Our fantastic Waitresses, Katie and Danika, were and are Outstanding, Knowledgeable, and Fun! Our Fantastic Hostess, Crista, was and is just that, . . . Fantastic! Even Matt, our Water and Bus Gentleman, was and is, very Attentive, Friendly, and Enjoyable. We were visited by both the manager and the head chef, who also made our already perfect evening, even more of a pleasure! No, I do not work for Cohn or for OB Warehouse and No, I am not related to anyone who does. I have just never enjoyed a restaurant experience more! Go see what I mean and make a memory of your own!

First time at this restaurant tonight and had a great time! The menu had so many great things and I was having a hard time making up my mind but our server Chelsea was super friendly, knowledgeable and had really great suggestions! Really great food on top of really great service! I'll definitely be back!

Great night at the OB Warehouse. Food was great. Decor amazing. Service attentive. Filet was awesome. Be sure to try the hummus. It is delicious. Erin the manager circulates to make sure the guests have what they need. A definite stop of you are on OB. Give it a try.

OB Warehouse is amazing! We went for our anniversary and I'm so happy we did. The service was great. Staff was so super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu which is a huge plus for me. The food was incredible and I can't wait to go back. The Short Rib Pappardelle is sensational!

I took my Step-Dad and Chef Greg to check out the this place tonight, and we had a great time! Friday evening, arriving at 6:15 we were seated at a great window table overlooking Newport within 4 minutes. Our Server Kristen was truly great! Yes, she is really pretty, but she was very attentive, had great answers to every question and when I asked her favorites, they were spot on, as we had already printed off the menu at home and had our top picks already to go. I was very impressed with the Beer list and the highlighted local beers they served on tap including one from Pizza Port, and Coronado Breweries. Home run with us as we Love local resources and farm to table thinking here in OB and that says a lot. The layout was really cool with different areas of seating and vibes that the hostesses figured out very well, and I noticed so many tables that not only talked among themselves, but shred and interacted with neighboring tables much more so than most places I can remember. A+ We split the Nectarine Heirloom Salad first and it was amazing. Fresh and light and the dressing should be bottled, as we would buy a case of it! We each ordered a draft beer and my Coronado Mermaid's Red was perfect for the meal, as well was Greg's Big Sky Moose Drool Brown Nut Ale that Kristen suggested. I will mention the large list of specialty drinks they offer that looked really cool, but a cold beer was just what the doctor ordered for tonight. With the heat this week and not being all too starving, Greg ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken "Oysters" that were tender and delicious, and the Corn relish and house made Blue Cheese dressing was really tasty. I got the Banh Mi Pork Belly Flat Bread, and it was really good! I could eat one of those and a whole salad several days a week and be a happy guy. The decor was really cool right down to the Airstream Trailer that is built into the wall that becomes the kitchen and has a big flat screen TV (one of only 3 which was perfect and not distracting) on the top of it, where...I admit it....I visited a few times to keep an eye on the US Open matches being played tonight. The whole place had a great vibe and nice music and conversation that was well contained between sections giving a a satisfactory degree of intimacy as well as allowing everyone to feel like they were all there for the fun party. That's not easy to do, but again they did it right. I am thrilled to see a place like this in OB, and I finally have a reason to park and get out for something on that block that has not been true for me in many years. I'm just not into over-priced Antiques, and could not name one other business on the whole block. We did walk by the New Hooka place on our way to the beach after, and there were only 3 tables with people in them in the entire place. I fear they will not be around for very long.

Such a great experience. First I'll say the decor is really awesome. I wouldn't expect this place to be in OB but I'm glad it is. It was on the pricey side but hey, it's a Cohn restaurant. I came here with a couple friends and everything we ate was absolutely delicious. I had the Filet Frites which was DELICIOUS. One of my friends is vegetarian and the menu only had a few basic vegetarian options (salads and the like) but they basically created a vegetarian pasta dish for her since she wanted something heartier than a salad. Which brings me to my next point- such great service! They checked in enough to make us feel cared about but not too much to where we felt annoyed. The staff was very knowledgeable of the menu and went above and beyond to make our visit awesome. We went on a Saturday and they had a DJ who played great music. If you're looking for a nice evening dining experience in OB, go here!

I had noticed this empty building for a while and wondered what it would become and have now finally tried it. The first impression of the outside and interior were great as they are unique and very well put together. The hostess was polite and started to seat our party but since only 4 of 6 were there, we were not seated and went to the bar to wait. Understandable, but the place was not packed and we sat at the table that stayed empty until we actually were all there. The food came out in a timely manner and was delicious. The chicken "oysters" and chicharonnes in a bag were a great start. The drinks and selection were good and as for the entrees, the choices were limited but I have nothing but a thanks to the chef for my filet frites. As for dessert we had the whoopie pie and was outstanding. I unfortunately I did not catch the name of our server but he was awesome and his timing was great. I will definitely be back soon.

Amazing cocktails and beer selection, innovative, delicious food, and outstanding service, what more do you want? We shared the artichokes, which were great, a salad, and a sea bass entrée and it was perfect! Chelsea, our server was very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable as we asked about menu options; outstanding service. As OB locals, it was our first time here and we will definitely be back soon.

Just what OB needs! We have plenty of dive spots and it's nice to have more places like this to choose from. Everything from the decor to the service to all the food we tried was amazesauce. We had crab cakes which weren't filler type but light, delish crab meat. Also the wedge salad with apple was the perfect balance of crunch, sweet & savory. Mushroom flat bread and chimichurri chicken were both fab. The kale side with the chicken was super delicious. Strawberry rubarb crumble was fab too. Only thing that could improve is balancing the music out on the back deck where the movie is projected. It was a bit loud in there. Cool art, airstream, and really great new spot!

Went to the mock service this week and not only is the decor incredible but te food blew me away. Special note for the strawberry rhubarb crisp and chipotle chicken flatbread. AMAZING. Katie, our server was really nice and really quick. All in all, this was a great experience and we will definitely be back.

Our second time at OB Warehouse was just as great as the first! Wonderful appetizers, excellent fresh & unique salads, and varied menu. The staff were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the food.. even the nice fellows refilling water glasses had good recommendations.. and our waiter, David P, was extremely conscientious. There is all kinds of seating available, and folks seemed to be having a good time all around. I would not recommend coming here for an intimate dinner or conversation, as it is an establishment that is very open (not an negative, however!). Well worth checking out!! And the prices are not unreasonable (the quality of the ingredients & food are excellent), with great happy hour offerings!

OB Warehouse is a great addition to Newport Ave. Very cool decor, open and airy seating, and a unique atmosphere. Our waiter was David P. and he was beyond good. Incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, wines, and beer, super friendly and not pushy or arrogant. We were enjoying our drinks and lagging on being ready to order, and he offered that when we were ready to order we could blow out our candle and he would know we were ready for him to come back. The food was excellent and service like David's will have us returning on his shift.

The Cohen Group has really done a terrific job with this new eatery. The decor is funky, friendly and perfectly OB. The service was spot on and very friendly. The scallops were good but the cous cous was a bit too sweet for my palate. I think it would have been better on the spicy side without the sweetness. The wine list is very interesting and since we got there during happy hour a red and white wine should have been served as well, but were not. Let's face it, San Diego is the home of California's first vineyard and Temecula offers a wide range of first class wines, so Cohen cannot provide a good happy hour wine reasonably priced? $9.00 a glass is really too much. I recommend going, because it is a lot of fun and prices will need to adjust to keep the customers returning, but then Cohen may not get the message.

Went there on a Saturday evening - they do not take reservations so be prepared to wait.... Decor: okay but the music is LOUD. Too loud to enjoy having dinner with friends. We sat at a table in the back that was right in the middle of traffic. Every person that passed bumped my chair. Food: fair at best. We spent $172 for: 4 salads, 1 lamb burger, 1 hamburger, 1 artichoke appetizer, 1 crab cake appetizer and 4 drinks. Yes, $172. The salads were okay. My vegan chopped salad was refreshing for the first few bites and then became boring. My husband had the nectarine and heirloom tomato salad that was the highlight of the table. Beet and arugula salad was just okay. Burgers were okay but nothing special. Service: blonde hostess was rude, very rude. Waitstaff was very attentive. We never had to ask for anything, I really wanted to like this place as I live in the neighborhood. I probably won't be back. OB really needs a good upscale (or at least midscale) restaurant. I think the Cohn group has expanded beyond their limits and are now opening expensive, mediocre restaurants.

Long time fan of all things CRG and guest at the mock service prior to the true open date on 8-7-14. Very cool decor, with lots of fun, creative and interesting touches. Better yet, a fascinating drink menu with thoughtful enhancements on favorites and crafty recipes. The food was the real triumph here with plenty of clever, tasty items and reasonable prices. Highlights? For me it was spot on Service, Merguez sausage flatbread, Masala dusted Scallops, the little Gem Wedges and a gluten free bittersweet chocolate cake. My friends loved the burger that featured a mix of lean filet and flavorful brisket. Next time? I'm going back for things I didn't get to try that sounded great... Chicharonnes, crispy artichokes, Greek lamb burger and the Whoopie pie... Welcome to OB friends, we're looking forward to more!

The atmosphere at this place is pretty cool, just steer clear of the manager woman with short brown hair. She doesn't understand the simple basics of quality customer service. We came here with a large group and made reservations 2 months in advance. When we arrived, the reservation was nowhere to be found and this manager went in to way too much detail about why the reservation wasn't made (we don't really need to know the back end of your operation, just get us a table and some drinks/food!). She offered to buy us some appetizers while we waited for a table and brought out fried artichokes. Those were gone in a couple minutes since we had a party of 11 people, so we ordered 3 more appetizers and assumed those would be comp'd too. At the end of our meal, the manager made a point to come to our table and explain that we needed to pay for the 3 extra appetizers we ordered. She could tell we were annoyed and then, instead of just comping the appetizers and calling it a day, she proceeded to bring out 2 massive desserts "on the house" that none of us even wanted. The food is decent, but sadly the poor management left a bad taste in my mouth. With that said, our waiter was amazing so kudos to him!

"Slower than molasses", would be the best way to describe the bar service. I keep coming here and keep getting disappointed with the service. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are great... but I'm not a fan of the service.

Very disappointed. Pot stickers were good but salty. Hummus was poor. Chicken flat bread had a good flavor but was doughy, not crisp and flat like expected. Noise level was extreme. Music could have been just as good at a lower volume. Service was OK. It started out very obtrusive, but backed off when they realized we did not appreciate the heavy attention. Will not be going back. Too many other places to enjoy. Sad for OB!

Downtown San Diego has arrived in Ocean Beach! Service in this stylish restaurant/bar was great from the moment we entered. First the hostesses asked for our phone number and apologetically asked us to wait for about 20-30 minutes. But Saturday night luck was with us: immediately available were low, hipster lounge tables that seat about 8. She said communal tables were also immediately available for a shared dining experience. The bar was full, but two stools opened up for us within a couple of minutes. Friendly and talented bar tender Gavin was quickly at our service. He set us up with a couple of great IPAs and hors d' oeuvres right at the fashionably comfortable bar. The crispy, Kungpow calamari was beautifully presented on a rectangular plate. We turned down the call from the hostess for our dinner table, and happily stayed at the bar. This venue was great. A shiny Airstream camper was built into the wall, and the music was young and loud. Only drawback was it was provided by a Dj; the open beam ceiling and hip vibe call for some live music. Jazz would be the perfect fit for this cool and clever restaurant. We can walk here from home and take Uber up the hill afterwards. Nice addition to O.B.

I was excited for the opening of this restaurant as it is just around the corner from me. The decor is great, not sure about the TV's in there though, kinda of a half sports bar attempt? Service was wonderful all around, but the menu was fairly limited. The main reason I'm not impressed with this place is that there drinks are horrendously over-priced when it comes to the beer selection. Not only that, but you get 14oz instead of the usual 16oz at Raglans, The Joint & OB Noodle House. Why go here and pay $8 for a beer when i get far cheaper anywhere around the block. Tables are also too close together. Not really impressed at all and won't be back.

Very nice place. Good tap beer list and large selection of bottles. Good cocktail list. Half price bottles of wine on Weds night. Very good service. All things that normally would have me back again. Except......the food just wasn't that good. Typical Cohn Restaurant Group grub, not anything memorable. Hi-light of the meal was the Shishito Pepper appetizer and very good bottle of wine that was 1/2 off. Shared the Mahi Mahi that was overcooked and lacked any great flavor w/ cauliflower puree and pieces. The Moroccan Spiced Flat Iron was a bit better. Steak was cooked perfect and had good texture but the spice rub was a bit much. Plate had to much going on with a balsamic drizzle as well as the moroccan spice on the potatoes and greens.. OK dish but wouldn't order it again. Menu is way to large. Must be 40 items at least. No way a kitchen can make that many items effectively in a restaurant that big and busy. Would possibly go back to sit at the bar and have a burger or apps and beer but wouldn't have a sit down dinner. Better grub in town for the price at Wonderland, OB Noodle and The Joint.

Absolutely LOVE this place. The atmosphere was amazing... Classy but still had the cool vibe of OB. The design alone would be a reason to check OB Warehouse out. I was able to enjoy great cocktails and even better food out on the deck where there was a black and white movie playing on the brick wall across the alley!! The wait staff was so friendly and very attentive. Definitely one of my new places to bring friends out for a good night.

Went in for the first time after building anticipation for months!!! We love bo-beau and were real excited to try it but sadly this one fell short. Service was awesome with the exception of the lurking floor manager who crept by our table but didn't say a word. Only tried two apps and as they were tasty the small portions showed that they are making good profit per plate. Three itty bitty crab cakes that were barely a taste and my beet salad maybe included one decent sized very thinly sliced beet. My "fresh peach" cocktail was pretty heavy on the "peach schnapps" super disappointed but will attempt dinner maybe or a cocktail without "fresh peach"

Just left and can't wait to go back. Food was great and service even better. Artichoke heart app was the best I've had. I took my husband for his birthday, thinking the atmosphere would be fun and the food good. When we arrived, we mentioned to the woman who was seating us that it was his birthday. She took us way to the back which was more like a garage. Cold and no atmosphere. We requested to be moved, which she promptly did, but we didn't get it. There were plenty of great tables open (it was early still) in the main area and come on, it's a birthday. The food was pretty good but the waitress was incredibly slow and we had to wait and wait for everything. Kind of disappointing but we will try again.

I have been here two times now and so far this is my new go to place in ocean beach. The first time in was here I went on opening night and David was out server. He was absolutely fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. My favorite items on the menu so far are the calamari and the pork bahn mi flatbread. The second time I went to ob warehouse I went late night with a friend for drinks. Our bartender Megan was great and helped us navigate the drink menu ( the tractor and the mule were my favorite). They also have great wine and beer selections. My only recommendation is that the restaurant should stay with the loungy type music and not change it to more club type during late night happy hour.

Had a problem with my order, but the server and manager, David, were VERY apologetic, over board. They were very concerned and wanted to make things right, which sometimes does not happen at other restaurants. When my order came out right, as ordered, it was fantastic, I would definitely return.

Love this place! It's very chic and rustic with fun comics in the entry with a community table atmosphere. We had the potstickers and artichokes to start. Sooo yummy!! They also have a HUGE beer list! But...we chose wine. We had an awesome white Pinot Noir called Blanc de Noir from Siegrist. We had a few glasses, then decided on getting a bottle! For dinner one had the classic burger, super delicious. Another person went with the lamb burger and said its 'F'ing Awesome'. And lastly my hubby had the filet mignon tenderloins! Said it melted in his mouth! Great vibe! Good mix of locals like us and tourists wandering around. Really liked the good crowd mix...20 something's to 40's n 50's like us. Great service and staff. Heather is a ROCKSTAR!! Very attentive!! We will definitely be back soon!

We just met with a group of friends at OB Warehouse. All the food was delicious as well as beer and cocktails. However, the service was the best. Dave M was our server and he was super personable, attentive, and had great recommendations. We will definitely come back!

We were fortunate enough to make it out for opening day at OB Warehouse. Enjoyed the decor from the comic-themed entrance to the details of the men's/woman's bathrooms. Our server, David P., was more than excellent. Competent and willing to explain any and everything we had questions about he provided great service. We enjoyed a couple of the beers from the great list and snacked on the marinara/pesto complimentary treat. All of which were delicious. For our entree we split the Chipotle Chicken flatbread-spectacular. Great restaurant. It's a shame we'll be leaving town soon and heading north but will definitely come back to try a couple different items before we do. Great spot, cheers!

The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the food was amazing. The service on the other hand was the worst service I've ever received at a restaurant. We had 3 different people waiting on our table and they all weren't communicating with each other. It took two hours to get our appetizers that we ended up getting doubled charged and had to argue with the waiter to get it removed. Drinks were ordered and would never arrive at the table, they would just sit at the bar until you had to walk up to the bar asking if that was your drink. They took half the tables orders and didn't come to take the other half for 20 minutes because we had to flag down the waiter to tell them they never came back to take our order, when the waiter came over he gave us attitude and said just a minute. They seemed very unorganized and the only thing that was organized was what was going on in the kitchen. Unfortunately myself and my friends will never come back to this establishment again.

I don't ever do bad yelp reviews, as I'm in the biz and I know how it goes. But, this place. I've given it four tries. The ambiance ; awesome. Hostesses, A +. Food, above average. Sooo, the part that sucks. The part that every person who works in the industry is fairly forgiving of, so if we are not. You should evaluate...dadada. Service. I am so underwhelmed. So, time one, I roll in with 5 other friends, not a single other soul in the restaurant . One of our friends works at an affiliated restaurant . Husky, goateed manager approaches our group(6 total , only guests in the entire place) at the bar, and loudly informs her that she cannot sit at the bar, per company policy... Okay new place, new job... Understandable, yet awkward for all. Fast forward to my birthday. Sweet server, but that was all. She was an order taker. She got our order and never returned. I was with a good friend who is a gm of another restaurant... Her thoughts were , why were we never reapproached after our order. Why were our drinks empty? How do they make money? Fast forward to tonight . I sat at the bar for 6 minutes before being acknowledged ( I had texted a friend as to my location so I had an indicative time). I asked for the Marlborough sav blanc. I was told they didn't have that brand, had to explain the region thing. Okay, that's a real laughable mistake. The part that bothered me more so was, I finished my glass and sat, and sat, un acknowledged I sat. Finally, I flagged down one of the two bar people to pay. He never asked if on the card or cash...but I closed out. I probably would've ordered more, had I not been ignored, but 4 th time is a charm. The place is cute, the food is decent, but, service( outside of hosts) is non existent, from servers, to bar, to management . Horrible, just horrible .

Just like any other Cohn Restaurant. You've been to one, you've been to all. Very cool ambiance and décor. Everyone from the hostess to the servers to the bussers were friendly. Blue Point Coastal should take some pointers about service being they are owned by the same group. We ordered everything off the happy hour menu. The chicharones were from a bag...not made in house. The BBQ Chicken Chipotle flat bread pizza was pretty tasty and a really big serving for $9. The chicken dumplings were just like Blue Point. Frozen and flavorless. Can't really say anything else too memorable. I won't be returning unless it's to have wine during their happy hour. Although they should have more wines for HH other than one white and one red. Where's the variety?

Went there for the first time and loved it. Great service, atmosphere, and food. Our food was a little delayed and before we even said anything, they apologized and then later, comped us a dessert. The artichoke hearts are so delicious. The only reason I'm not giving all five stars is because I wish they'd list more veg food on the menu. They have none on their entree list but they're happy to make veg entrees--if you ask. Wish they'd just list them on the menu, especially being in OB, where there are a lot of vegetarians and vegans.

  • Karen B.

I would give 5 stars for the great food, wonderful ambiance, and great service. The one star is due to the BLARING music, to the point where our only choice was to yell at each other or text each other if we wanted to have a conversation. I feel sorry for the waiters who have to yell in your ear, and get yelled at back, to take your order! By the way, the DJ was amazing, but isn't this supposed to be a restaurant? I could understand if it was loud in a restaurant/bar after 9:00, but we were trying to have dinner around 7:30. We will not go back unless I hear they turn it down a little. Ridiculous! (Worse than OB Noodle for the too-loud music). Bad place for dinner..great place to dance!

Cool atmosphere, second floor location looking over the street below, quality food and even a projector playing a movie in the back. The beer selection is awesome as well, with a lot of local options. I would recommend this place, and would surely return.

Love the decor! ADORABLE!!! Got delicious artichoke and potsticker apps. Drinks were good and reasonable at Social Hour. BUT...How can you be social when the music is SO LOUD??? And we were the only ones there so far...could you just put it down for a bit until the crowd that apparently likes it shows up? Love Cohn restaurants, but would not recommend this to anyone, based on the noise level. Friend said I have to come back to see the restroom. Again, the theme and surroundings (and food/drinks) are worth a visit...IF you can tolerate yelling to each other.

Exceeded our expectations! It's a Cohn Restaurant, so we expected great food, but the service is what was exceptional. I think our server's name was Dustin or Dusty (something to that effect). He was friendly and informative without being pushy and he was also attentive without being intrusive. Food and drinks were great and timed perfectly. Short rib pappardelle a must have!

super cool atmosphere and wonderful food. i dream about their artichoke hearts constantly. super helpful with finding vegan options...which are: trio of hummus (no flatbread, veggies instead), CRISPY FREAKING ARTICHOKE HEARTS which are amazeballs (ask for the preserved lemon dressing instead of the lemon ginger sauce to make it vegan), yummy salads, and also, a few of the entrees can be made with tofu to be made vegan, but you'll have to ask which ones.

Love this place! I'm a huge fan of all the Cohn restaurants, and I love that this one is walking distance from me! Really unique menu and cocktails. Great beer list and friendly staff, we really liked our bartender, Dan (made a mean gin martini). The decor is also super neat-- warehouse chic. Gonna have to go back and try the rhubarb dessert cuz Dan was raving about it.

Love this place! The atmosphere is great. The beer selection is as well. But the service was my favorite. Our server Dusty was a lot of fun and the manager David was very accommodating and genuine. Will be back. Get the Calamari!!!

San Diego restaurant week! One of the best times of the year. Came here for dinner with my boyfriend and best friend. They don't take reservations but you can call one hour ahead so they can add you to the waitlist (if there is one). Hostess - we were greeted by two girls that were super friendly. That was a good start. Ambiance - very hipster feel. I liked the wood, dim lights, metal look. It gave the restaurant a cool vibe. FOOD - Buttermilk Fried Chicken "Oysters": it looked like chicken nuggets in buffalo sauce. It had shishito peppers on the side, picked corn relish, and house-made blue cheese dressing. I honestly have no idea what it was. Chicken? Oysters? But according to my boyfriend, it was chicken and oysters? Anyways, I only tried the chicken parts because I don't like oysters and it was tasty. - Slow Braised Carnitas Sopes: this was topped with carnitas, avocado, picked lime onions, cilantro, and cotija cheese. I really enjoyed this one. The flavors were all mashed together nicely. The carnitas was not dry. Would definitely get this again! - Pomegranate Mixed Greens Salad: this was a fresh salad with all the toppings! Pears, pomegranate seeds, crumbled goat cheese, candied pecans, and pomegranate vinaigrette. I only had a bite of this but it had a nice sweet flavor to it. - Short Rib Pappardelle: This was good but a little salty. I wish the pasta noodles were thicker. They were ribbon like noodles but thin. The thinness made it seem less like pasta. I was shooting for the pasta texture. - Pan Roasted Chimmichurri Chicken Breast w/ Crispy Fingerling Potatoes: I wasn't a big fan of this. Too much of the herb flavor for my taste. The crispy skin was not that crispy either. - Pumpkin Bread Pudding: the bread pudding is seasonal. Right now, it's pumpkin! I love pumpkin flavors so I ordered this. Not a fan. I was hoping for something more on the pudding side. This tasted more like pumpkin bread. My boyfriend loved it though! It just depends on what texture you like. - Bittersweet Chocolate: this was like a chocolate cake. The middle was incredibly fudge-y and the entire thing was moist. This was originally my boyfriend's dessert but we switched because I liked it so much. - Warm Cranberry Apple Crisp: My best friend got this and I did not like it too much. It was more fruit than crisp per say. Don't get me wrong, it's a great dessert but I wasn't feeling the mouthful of fruit. I wanted more of a balance with the tart portion. Food wise, I would give this restaurant a 3/4. SERVICE What gave this a 5 was the service. Where do I begin! Of course, the hostess girls were friendly and sweet. Sat down and were greeted by Tom and Dusty. Both had great personalities, very personable. They explained the menu, gave us some time to look it over. The were attentive. They seemed like they totally knew the menu inside out as well. They explained our orders well. Our dessert was running pretty late because the kitchen forgot about it so the manager, Erin, came over to apologize. She sincerely apologized and was so nice about it. She asked us if we wanted anything and we said no, it was okay. Eventually our dessert came and it was all good. At the end, when we got our check, there was a discount on it due to the dessert coming out so late. I mean, how nice is that? We said it was okay but they still wanted to make it right. It makes all the difference when a restaurant takes that extra step to make your meal that much better. If sometime goes wrong, they apologized and did something about it. I can literally wrote a novel on how great the service was. The waiters are simply awesome. Funny dudes. Erin was so sweet. Would come back here just to see them!!!

What a great new addition to the neighborhood! My husband and I checked it out last night - the ambience is awesome (so much cool stuff to look at), the food and drinks are top notch, and the service was the best I've had since living in Dallas. I highly recommend you give this place a whirl. The Kung pow calamari is a great way to start! The flat iron was out of this world, and you are crazy if you don't try the chocolate cake. We will be back!

This was my first visit here and I have to say...it was amazing! Our server Adrianna was the cutest thing ever! She checked on us periodically (but not too much to where it was annoying) and seemed to really know the menu/knowledge of drinks. I got the Mason and it was amazing! The other staff was equally as awesome as we never had to ask for anything and I even got some sauce on my white blouse to which the busser brought me soda water and a towel to help me out. I will definitely be back and recommend this place highly! Can't wait to have another Mason ;)

I went here with some friend over the weekend and it was a lot of fun. The food was great and so were the drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered the calamari, pork rinds, and the burger. Food had great flavor! There is also a large selection of craft beers. The place was crowded and had a good vibe to it. Definitely a place to check out if you are in OB.

We went to OB Warehouse for the first time last week and we were all very impressed! No only was the food amazing, the entire staff was friendly, welcoming and informative. We had the artichoke hearts, chopped salad and poke (sp?) for appetizers and they were all superb! The entrees were equally delicious! I will absolutely go back!

Accidental find, walking by it and saw the "social hour" sign, so discounts on Sunday sounded great! I was pleasantly surprised with the industrial decor. Fun, young and hip. Lots to look at and clean. Good music playing. We say at the bar and had excellent service by jade who was knowledgable and friendly. Wonderful choice of 24 draft beers. Some are 8% alcohol...yay. They serve flights of beer so you can figure out what you like. We tried the appetizers: chi chicharrones, potstickers and hummus. All were good but potstickers were best. Humus was okay but I don't think is order that one again because the flavors were a little lacking. Trying more soon and will update post. Definitely one my best accidental finds.

I generally only write reviews when I think a place is awesome. Who needs the negativity? Anyway, Adrianna was very attentive, and their mason drink was delish. Also all of their social hour apps are top notch and moderately priced. Even if service sucked (which it far from did), food and craft cocktails are worth it.

Had early New Years Eve dinner last pm unfortunately (no fault of the restaurant of course )the restaurant resembled more of a daycare than a hip new dining scene. Now I appreciate the travails of getting a babysitter on New Years Eve,but folks why not stay home if you can't get a sitter ?Those of us trying to get out for a holiday treat would really appreciate it.Now for the food, happy hour priced artichoke hearts and chipotle seasoned chicken flatbread were real standouts. My beet salad w arugula was underdressed and bland.Fried calamari was nicely spiced but served cool.Service was on the rough side with my server forgetting my draft beer order (nice selection)not once but twice..Wife's mahi order was beautifully presented w nice flavor profile and served hot.My Greek burger on brioche was just meh w good skinny fries.Daughters boyfriends burger was good.Overall ,despite daycare scene and service issues a fair meal served in a beautiful space ..Things should only improve w time and we will return again..

Wow, OB Wearhouse is definitely going to be the chilliest place! The food was amazing, the service was on top of its game. Our server, David, was so kind and very informative. Very knowledgable about the dishes and explained every ingredient inside the dishes. They even brought me a gluten free chocolate cake because of my gluten sensitivities. Overall, phenomenal place. Oh and you must check out the restroom!

Most amazing cocktails I've ever had. Ever. This place has the coolest decor/feel as well. And their bartenders and wait staff were beyond friendly and knowledgable. Everything was on point!

Came here with a larger group and it was amazing! For a large group, all the servers were so attentive, nice and knowledgable. The decor was fun and interesting, we loved that they had a movie projected onto a wall outside! Really unique. The food was delish! I had the sausage flatbread which had really good flavor. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be so flavorful and smoky. I tried the artichokes which were also really good. I loved the reisling suggested by our server. Highly recommend this place! Great for groups.

I have been looking forward to this restaurant opening for a while and it did not disappoint! Dave M. was our server and did a great job at walking us through the menu and giving us a lot of cool insight on the decor/space. The tomato salad appetizer and filet entree were amazing. Can't wait to come back and fingers crossed we get Dave M. again!!

So cool!! Great vibe. A little more upscale then most spots in town, but food is terrific, all the folks working there genuinely seem like happy folk. Our waiter was Dusty. Super sweet guy that knew his menu. We were five on a Saturday night, were seated within five minutes and everything was flawless. Hooray Dusty and the crew!!! P.S. I am totally stealing the bathroom idea. Fab!

I use Restaurant Week to sample new places in town and OB Wharehouse did not disappoint!! The decor is funky cool. The space is huge yet the setup makes it feel intimate. The chicken pot stickers were easily the heartiest pot stickers I have ever had - so much chicken packed into each bite and seasoned to perfection. The Kale salad was also amazing, they managed to hide most of the Kale taste which works for this non-Kale lover. I had the Moroccan Rubbed Flat Iron and the rub needs to be packaged and sold. The light heat sneaks up on you in the best of ways. Served with a Kalamata olive vinaigrette which took some getting used to and then it all made the most perfect sense. My friend had the pan roasted chicken breast and it vanished fairly quickly - I think she like it, I didn't even get a bite. The potatoes advertised as fingerlings where a little off as they were more like oven baked wedges which needed a bit more time in the oven - missed that nice crunch. Our waitress was incredible and knew the menu in great detail. So many people stopped by our table to be sure all was going well, it was overkill, certainly and it is really refreshing to have a place truly care about the customer experience. Love everything about this place - Cohn does it again.

I came in here tonight a broken man, but I left re-assembled. The OB warehouse is beautiful, the service was great & the food was delicious. One member of our group is actually allergic to OB & even she loved the place. Highly recommend this new styley spot.

This place is awesome! Went here last night for the first time to celebrate my sisters birthday. The decor was so cool, the vibe music and lighting was perfect. The drinks are so unique and delicious. Our waiter Dusty was on top of it too! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and provided top notch service. We tried the chipotle chicken flatbread, little gems salad, pot stickers, and lamb burger. Everything tasted amazing. Especially the flat bread and burger. We tried the infused bourbon and it was also really good. The place has food from around the world and they incorporate local OB ingredients! Can't wait to go again!

I was really excited to try this place. We've been waiting for over a year for it to open, and when an opening date finally was posted in the window, we counted down the days. I guess they changed their menu ideas a few times? I love tapas and street food, and was excited when I heard it was going to be food from around the world. So of course I was disappointed when I found out that there really wasn't any street food. The menu was comprised of your typical plates- a couple appetizers, a few salads, and entrees like burgers, steaks, and flatbread. Wait, I thought this was supposed to be street food?? This looks like American fine dining. Hmmmm, well, let's give it a shot- We started with the $15 calamari. It was OK. I guess it would have been acceptable in some spots, but def not what I would call special in any way. I found it soggy and sweet/bland. We then tried the pork belly flatbread. The pork belly on its own was delish, but the dish as a whole was rather boring. My favorite part of the whole experience was the basil marinara they give you with the bread sticks. Lol. I hope this place gets some specials or something unique, and ups their game a bit. At the moment, though, I'd rather go see what's cooking at beau beau's. :) Past the food, the service was exceptional, the people super friendly, and the decor was great. Edit**** Tried this place again, even worse experience- the food was just alright, and there was this manager running around in her pant suit harassing all the staff and putting on a show to all the patrons. Not a friendly environment for a diner to deal with. The rest of the staff was awesome and polite, but this chick needs to chill out on everyone. Prob come back for their epic happy hour beer prices.

So it has finally opened! I went to Ob Warehouse on Friday night and immediately when I walked in I loved the decor and the place had a great vibe. I sat at the bar and had a couple beers which the beer selection is awesome! My friend and I started with the vegan chopped salad. The salad was amazing, super light and fresh. Then we had the filet frites and the seabass. The steak was great but a pretty traditional steak dish and unfortunately I have to say the seabass was terrible. It was fishy tasting and had way too much seasoning. While the food and drinks were good I felt like the food was pretty causal, and good but nothing exceptional. Everything here is quite expensive too so if I were to go back in I would probably have a few beers and an appetizer unless you want to spend around 50, 60 dollars just for yourself on food and a couple drinks. I live in ocean beach and have for quite a few years; I love the concept of Ob Warehouse but I have to say I think it is a little too pricey for ocean beach. I don't mind spending money but I feel if they maybe dropped their prices just a bit it would be prefect. Also, as I mentioned above the food was pretty casual so I don't quite understand the fine dining part of it. The servers are dressed in all black with bistro aprons which I don't think fits the warehouse theme at all. I loved all the comic stuff downstairs so why not jeans and fun comic shirts for the servers or at least more casual attire since it has a warehouse theme and after all if this place is trying to appeal to the ocean beach community it's a casual beach neighborhood. I am a server myself and have worked in restaurants for years so this is just what I see from a restaurant perspective and community member of ocean beach. I encourage people to check it out though because like I said the design and concept is amazing but a few tweaks here and there would make it that much more appealing especially in ocean beach!

Never really use yelp, I trust other countless users for a great review. but I had to because I recognized another great restaurant addition to CRG and a familiar face. Outstanding establishment. Food, drink and ambiance get 5 stars and two thumbs up from 'this' reviewer. A fine addition to OB. The decor is sleek, and elegantly soothing, and no doubt will boast an atmosphere of cheerful patrons as the days go by . Staff and management have a keen eye for perfection... never skipping a beat. Belly up to the cocktail bar or a table for your dining adventure. Get ready for a unique edible experience. quite a treat for a quaint city. I started my evening at one of their mock services. My server David (I think the guy's columbian or spanish, just wanna get that out there so the management knows they have a star server on their roster) recommended great meals that were nothing but Euphoric! I recognized this guy from Vintana's being that I love the Cohn Restaurant Group. He's always been my server there and I wouldn't have it any other way. Glad to see this guy is venturing away from a restaurant he no doubt dominated and I can only imagine he'll hold this restaurant in his palm as well. I can't wait to come back to this place, it offers such a new style of dining that you don't find in a lot of places here in SoCal. Props to CRG for another great addition to their echelon of restaurants.
